On Monday through to Saturday, I link an image to a theme in the Bible, with a podcast lasting about 10 minutes, which I hope brings hope and strength to anyone listening.
I saw a grille or the horizontal and vertical bars of a cage, through which a visible gas was pouring. Gas will extend to as far as is possible. Similarly, the Holy Spirit, through Jesus Christ, is available to us everywhere, with no restrictions. The Holy Spirit is in all creation so, in effect, God's presence is everywhere. In Psalm 139:7, David declares the omnipresence of our mighty God. In Jeremiah 23:23-24 Jeremiah speaks God's Word, stating that He is near and He is far. We are reminded in Revelation that Jesus wants to be invited in, into our hearts (see Revelation 3:20). Ephesians 5:18: "Do not get drunk on wine which leads to debauchery. Instead be filled with The Spirit." Acts 2:38 tells us, "Repent and be baptised, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit". To repent is to change direction. We are invited constantly to follow Jesus. The Holy Spirit is a gift who is available to us at all times, everywhere.

A lined exercise book
Today I saw lined paper from an exercise book that a child might have to use to practise writing letters. I remember disliking having to write repeated big letters; my instinct was to write small letters. This concurs with educator Maria Montessori's assertion that all children display human tendencies at a very young age, one being an attraction to what is small and detailed. Witness a young child on a walk; they won't be interested in any great expanse in from of them but, instead, in the little beetle, the flower's petals etc. God is in the fine details such as is seen in quantum physics which studies matter and energy at the minutest of levels. There are many bible verses which tell us that, such as Psalm 37:23 "The Lord directs the steps of the Godly. He delights in every detail of their lives". God wants to be with everyone but He gives us free will to accept Him or not. No prayer need is too small for God to respond to and no step He directs us to do is insignificant. God is in the detail as well as in the awesome expanse of creation.

Close up of a lion's head
Today, in my mind's eye, I saw a picture of a lion's face. We have looked at Satan being likened to a prowling lion looking for his prey. Satan is sometimes referred to as "the ape of God" because he has no fresh creative ideas or ability to create but, instead, he
copies God and tries to lead people away from God. Meanwhile, Jesus is likened to a lion, but one that is majestic and mighty; at the same time, He humbly took the form of a sacrificial lamb (see Revelation 5:5-6). Jesus is not out to conquer through violence. Meanwhile, Satan only comes to steal, kill and destroy (see John 10:10). Satan pretends to be good in order to deceive us: "...Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light ..." (see 2 Corinthians 11:14-15) displaying a lot of truth but sneaking in his lies. Think of counterfeit money. If it is too different to the genuine bank notes, it would be rejected; if there is a small subtle change it can be very deceiving. Stick close to God and know the Real Truth, to protect you from being deceived by Fake Truth, which can be very subtle in its deception.
