Podcast Overview

I love sending voice notes to friends, sharing those thoughts that feel too big for text. That's what these are - morning reflections and gentle reminders about finding light in unexpected places. I record these pieces after writing them, sharing thoughts about growth, healing, and discovering magic in the mundane. Some mornings they're polished, other times they're raw - but they're always real. Whether you listen with morning coffee, during an evening walk, or anytime you need a reminder to look for sparkles - I'm happy you're here. The Paradox of Protection and Creation

<p>In today's episode, I'm sharing a realization on "the trauma paradox": how we can simultaneously protect ourselves from future pain while still creating a meaningful life right now.</p><p>I explore how, after trauma (like my divorce), our brains create protective mechanisms to help us survive. While these are necessary at first, what initially protects us can eventually imprison us. I also discuss how finding glimmers becomes essential in this process. When we're dealing with trauma aftermath, we often can't see the big picture, but those tiny moments of joy or calm sustain us until larger healing happens.</p><p>My upcoming book: "<a target="_blank" href="http://geni.us/DailySparkles">Daily Sparkles: Illuminate Your Life With 1000 Glimmers</a>"</p><p>Join my <a target="_blank" href="https://substack.com/@thedilemmasofemma">Substack</a> community for live sessions, workshops, and extra podcast episodes</p><p>Remember: Healing and creating can happen simultaneously. You don't have to choose. You can embrace the paradox and find your power there. Keep seeking the sparkles!</p> <br/><br/>This is a public episode.
