Sebab dalam kasus ini Dalton menderita kerugian sekitar Rp150 miliar. Hal tersebut dikatakan Ketua Presidium Ind Police Watch (IPW) Neta S Pane.</p>

IPW Desak Polisi Bersikap Promoter Terhadap Kasus Dalton Tanonaka
<p>Sebab itu IPW berharap polres bekerja cepat menangani kasus investasi bermasalah ini. Dalam laporan itu Prem adik ipar Raam Punjabi itu dikenakan Pasal 266 dan Pasal 242 ayat (1) KUHP dengan ancam 7 tahun penjara. Sehingga Prem bisa segera ditahan pihak kepolisian begitu kasus ini diproses.</p> <p>Laporan itu terkait dugaan memberikan keterangan saksi palsu dalam kasus investasi. Pasal 242 ayat (1) KUHP mengancam pidana penjara 7 tahun barangsiapa yang dalam keadaan dimana Undang-Undang menentukan supaya memberikan keterangan di atas sumpah atau mengadakan akibat hukum kepada keterangan yang demikian dengan sengaja memberikan keterangan palsu di atas sumpah, baik lisan maupun tulisan.</p>
