The Hairy Butthole
<p>Linda and Praise start the year strong with a new episode! We attended a book-reading-slash-comedy show and left with very hairy buttholes. There's a Korean saying that goes, "If you laugh while you cry, hair will grow out of your butthole." Youngmi Mayer, a biracial Korean American comedian, whose memoir, I'm Laughing Because I'm Crying, conjectures that Koreans exist within this ambivalent state of emotions and it makes us who we are. We have a lot of thoughts about the show, including our response to a fascinating game she plays onstage with three white men. </p>
