Podcast Overview

Just a random depressed INTP-T type guy called Dan from somewhere in South London that can make beats. I've been making music for 22+ years. My main DAW is FL Studio. I sometimes rewire to Reason. Mainly started making beats to tackle panic attacks, depression and general anxiety over the years. I'm mainly a film actor outside of music. I've started to transition into film scoring lately musically. My genres are Electronic, Hip Hop/ Boom-Bap, Drill/ Grime, R'n'B, Cinematic Film and Soundtrack. @DanCanMakeBeats (IG and YouTube) @DanielBGrell (Acting profiles)

Aphex Cinematic (Remix) - Dan Can Make Beats

🚀 APHEX (CINEMATIC REMIX) - DAN CAN MAKE BEATS From the archive and back to the future. This remix takes the DNA of my original "Aphex" Grime instrumental and pushes it to an apocalyptic scale. We swapped street grit for symphonic drama. I kept the aggressive energy and driving rhythm of the original, but flipped the sound design entirely; introducing massive choral elements, epic orchestral swells, and earth-shattering, cinematic Drill 808s. This is a sound clash between the dark streets of Grime and the intensity of a Hollywood score. Check out the original Grime version for the classic sound in my playlist. Fun Fact: The original was made during my days of bumping a lot of Aphex Twin in solitude. Specifically On - Aphex Twin. The track was originally called "Apex" on FL Studio but then in the export I just made homage by changing it. For Sienna 🕊️ 💥 Prod. by DAN CAN MAKE BEATS 🎵 Genre: Cinematic Drill / Orchestral Trap / Grime Flip #APHEX #Cinematic #FilmScore #VideoGame #CinematicRemix #GrimeRemix #DrillBeats #UKDrill #NYDrill #British #Dark #OrchestralTrap #SoundEvolution #Instrumental #GrimeMusic #Composition

Blaze Cinematic - (Phase 2) - Dan Can Make Beats.mp3

Blaze (Cinematic Boss Battle Suite) - Full Arc The Final Confrontation has Begun. This track presents the complete musical experience for a multi-stage boss fight Phase 2 (the desperate, relentless final climax). The 20-Year Journey of Blaze This piece is a cinematic re-orchestration of my original Grime instrumental which was first created in 2006. The fierce rhythmic drive and core melody were initially forged on Fruity Loops 6 (FL Studio 6) using classic stock plugins like Sytrus. This new, massive orchestral version takes that foundation and escalates it dramatically, translating the electronic aggression into sweeping brass, driving percussion, and high-stakes orchestral tension. It's a modern, cinematic take on a classic track—the sound of a Grime beat fighting for its life on a massive cinematic scale. 🕹️ Inspired by Gaming Giants The dramatic intensity and genre-blending style of Blaze draw heavily from my favorite game scores: From the Past: Sonic Adventure, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Headhunter, and the influential Virtua Fighter (Sega Saturn Version). Modern Influences: Cyberpunk 2077, Sonic Frontiers, MGSV, and the Hitman World Of Assassination trilogy. 🎭 Fun Fact: Music to Acting This track has a surprising legacy: it's the reason I got into acting! The original beat caught the attention of the 'Adulthood' production team on MySpace, leading to a competition win that landed me a role in one scene of the film. Credits & Production Original Concept & Re-orchestration: Dan Can Make Beats (Daniel Bertrand-Grell) String Arrangement Finalization: The intricate string work that gives the track its dramatic depth was produced with the help of SUNO. Artwork: The visual for this release was created with assistance from Gemini. #BossBattleMusic #CinematicMusic #Electronic #OrchestralScore #VideoGameMusic #Grime

Runnin' From My Demons - Dan Can Make Beats | Neo Soul / RnB

“Runnin’ From My Demons” A Neo Soul / Alt-R&B piece about heartbreak, anxiety and trying to drink away the thoughts that won’t leave you alone. Late-night bar energy, one man, one phone, too many messages he shouldn’t reread. Ironically, I actually wrote this whilst clubbing back in 2017/2018 and it stayed in my notes until now. I planned to release it but I gave up being an artist to just compose/ produce. Then AI came along and I thought... why not get AI to sing it in tune. 🤣 Performed vocally by AI written and produced entirel by me Dan Can Make Beats. UNOFFICIAL reinterpretation and tribute inspired loosely by: Seb Zero – “New Step” (Prod. Young Dot [Dot Rotten]) - Respect to the original and it's producer. All composition credit for the original motif belongs to the original creators. No copyright infringement intended – Rights holders can contact me any time for changes or removal.
