For many years his death was a mystery. According to retired FBI agent Phil Carson, there is not just one assailant, but a cover up. “All the evidence points to Amir Muhammad. He’s the one who pulled the trigger,” Carson told The New York Post in 2021. “There were plenty of others who helped orchestrate it [and] allowed him to pull the trigger.” Carson alleges Smalls’ death was “the biggest miscarriage of justice in my 20-year career at the FBI.” “I had evidence that LAPD officers were involved, and I was shut down by the LAPD and city attorneys inside Los Angeles,” said Carson, who worked with film producer Don Sikorski to produce the movie City of Lies, which profiles Biggie’s death. “Amir Muhammad, a.k.a. Harry Billups, the godparent to LAPD Officer David Mack’s two children, has been identified by several sources as the trigger man,” the formal FBI request written by Carson, acquired by The New York Post, read. “Mack is a registered owner of a 1995 Black SS Impala with chrome wheels, the exact description given as being driven by Wallace’s shooter.” ⏳𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐎 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 ⏳ 00:00 – Intro 01:30 – The investigation stemming from Voletta’s lawsuit 15:07 – The Rampart Investigation 25:30 – Diddy did it 31:27 – They’re actually still alive, living somewhere else 🍁 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚 🍁 🔔 For collaboration or promotion opportunities: Email: danatruppianamobtimes@gmail.com https://linktr.ee/danatruppiana Your source for the life and history of infamous gangsters ... and some other stuff, too. The Notorious B.I.G.: From Rise to Tragic Fall and Lasting Legacy - Part 2
Previous episodes in the series: Tupac Shakur – The untold story behind Tupac Amaru Shakur – Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzrNB8BFf3E Tupac Shakur – Part 2 - The untold story behind Tupac Amaru Shakur https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aKr3pHqkr0 Biggie Smalls: Rise to Fame Before 'Ready to Die' | Childhood, Friends, & Early Struggles-Biggie, P1 https://youtu.be/KGTpcOj59Yw The Notorious B.I.G., born Christopher Wallace and also known as Biggie Smalls, was a seminal figure in hip-hop. After the release of his debut album, "Ready to Die," in 1994, Biggie's life and career experienced significant changes. "Ready to Die" was a massive success, both critically and commercially. It established Biggie as a central figure in the East Coast hip-hop scene. The album’s singles, including "Juicy," "Big Poppa," and "One More Chance," became defining tracks of the era. In 1995, Biggie formed the group Junior M.A.F.I.A., which included friends and fellow rappers from his Brooklyn neighborhood. Their debut album, "Conspiracy," was released the same year, featuring hits like "Get Money" and "Player's Anthem." Biggie's rise coincided with the intensifying East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry. His former friend Tupac Shakur became his notable rival, exacerbated by media and personal conflicts. Biggie worked on his second album, "Life After Death," which showcased his growth as an artist. Scheduled for release in March 1997, it featured hits like "Hypnotize" and "Mo Money Mo Problems." On March 9, 1997, Biggie was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His murder remains unsolved, adding to the mystique and tragedy surrounding his life and career. His death occurred just weeks before the release of "Life After Death." "Life After Death" debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and was certified Diamond, solidifying Biggie's status in music history. Posthumous releases, including "Born Again" (1999) and "Duets: The Final Chapter" (2005), continued to celebrate his artistry. Biggie's storytelling ability, lyrical prowess, and unique flow left an indelible mark on hip-hop. He influenced countless artists and is often cited as one of the greatest rappers of all time. His life and death have been the subject of numerous documentaries, films, and books, contributing to his enduring legacy. His persona and music continue to resonate with fans worldwide. Biggie has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2020) and continues to be celebrated through tributes and acknowledgments in popular culture. Biggie Smalls' short but impactful career left a lasting legacy that continues to influence the music industry and popular culture to this day. ⏳𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐎 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 ⏳ 00:00 – Intro 04:36 – Baby shower recap 06:14 – Recap Part 1 Biggie Smalls 12:01 – Ready to Die 24:12 – Faith Evans 28:28 – Other collaborations 31:26 – Biggie and Tupac 49:18 – Biggie makes “Life After Death” 54:55 – “Life After Death” is wrapped up, the crew heads for California 01:02:28 – The party at the Peterson Automotive Museum 🍁 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚 🍁 🔔 For collaboration or promotion opportunities: Email: danatruppianamobtimes@gmail.com https://linktr.ee/danatruppiana Your source for the life and history of infamous gangsters ... and some other stuff, too.
