Healing Sexual Trauma with Expert Cynthia Henrie | Resources for Sexual Abuse Survivors

<p>Our guest today is a highly respected trauma expert with over 20 years of experience in the field of sexual trauma. Cynthia Henrie, LMFT, BCETS, has dedicated her career to working with survivors and perpetrators alike, offering a unique perspective on the dynamics of abuse. Cindie's career began at 19 years old, working with homeless and high-risk teens in a Hollywood shelter, where she encountered survivors of trafficking, gangs, sexual assault, and the porn industry. This early experience shaped her deep understanding of trauma in its many forms, including cult abuse, sex slavery, mind control, and pedophile circles. Cindie’s work extends across a wide spectrum, including treating both sexual abuse victims and youth sex offenders. Her innovative approach was rooted in the belief that early intervention with offenders could prevent future victimization. Through her work with perpetrators, she gained valuable insights into the belief systems that fuel abusive behavior, helping her better understand the victim's experience. In 2005, Cindie opened her private practice, specializing in trauma, with a focus on sexual abuse. She is trained in various therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, sandplay therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), and sensorimotor psychotherapy. Her expertise also includes working with dissociative identity disorder and extreme trauma such as kidnapping, trafficking, and grooming. Cindie is passionate about supporting marginalized communities, particularly LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals, as well as those dealing with grief, loss, suicide, and homicide. A survivor of sexual assault herself, Cindie brings a deep empathy and understanding to her work. Her personal and professional experiences make her a powerful advocate for healing and transformation in the lives of those affected by sexual trauma. Without further ado, I give you Cindie Henrie. || RESOURCES || Empowered Healing Toolkit: https://f1.danielleshea.blog/empowered-healing-toolkit Thriver's Academy: https://danielleshea.blog/thrivers-academy/ || FOLLOW ME || IG: https://www.instagram.com/daniellesheablog/ FB: https://www.facebook.com/daniellesheablog/ Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/3BrtZNpTAFEWb3zLr4eB79?si=cc412c5b87184eaf TikTok: @daniellesheaco || ABOUT DANIELLE SHEA || Danielle Shea empowers survivors who struggle with their confidence and self worth and feel powerless but want to create a life where they feel whole and powerful so they can ensure this never happens to them or anyone else again.
