Gitcoin Grant - Bundle: Emerging Economies and Indigenous Communities Bundle
For its S16 Alpha Round (taking place from January 17 - 31, 2023 with the brand new Gitcoin protocol), Gitcoin has created 10 Climate Solutions Bundles that group some Grantees by project type. Contributors will then be able to donate to the bundle as a whole and then the sum of contributions and matching funds will be distributed between all the projects within the specific bundle. In this episode we talk to some folks from the Emerging Economies and Indigenous Communities Bundle, which states in its Grant page that: "For its Humanity must choose to either embrace economic transformation or continue down the path of destruction, desecration and resource theft via war, infringement and oppression. We see many people, worldwide, standing up to denounce the latter. The mission of these projects is to steward and lay the foundation for emerging economies and indigenous communities that are built on the principles of abundance, knowledge sharing, trust and an intimate connection to our fellow human beings, nature and ourselves." MetaGov 2.0 - New Initiatives, How to get involved & the interior dimension of governance
<p>In this episode we have received Joshua from the <a href="https://metagov.org/">Metagovernance project</a>. In his second appearance on the show he has given us both updates on the development of MetaGov as well as his takes on the future of digital social interactions. Amidst that we have also explored how the MetaGov project is structured with regards to its org design and we have talked about some of the inspirations behind the project. And of course some of its flagship initiatives, like Gateway. Most excitingly Joshua gave us details about the MetaGov DAO and its current call for proposals, which seeks to upscale and upskill the metagov community by incentivizing collaboration among the members of the network. We ended the episode by elucidating the importance of the human factor or the "interior dimension" of governance.</p> <p><br></p> <p>This show had two firsts: </p> <p>It was the first show with real-time mapping as well as the first co-hosted show. We were lucky to have the <a href="https://integrallife.com/what-is-integral-approach/">integralist</a> practitioner Jakob Possert as a steward of the conversation, with his bright insights and beautiful shirt! But hey, the world did flip inside-out/upside-down in 2020, so who knows who is right?</p> <p>The fact is that there is fresh energy orbiting DAOcast. Fresh energy springing from <a href="https://gitcoin.co/grants/1499/taodao" target="_blank">taoDAO</a> - an experimental DAO framework centered around cultural patterns, as opposed to technological tools. A DAO whose purpose is the co-creation of regenerative multimedia content. Or better yet, as Vinícius puts it in this episode: “It’s not only to produce regenerative content. But for you, yourself, to have a regen experience for your life, so you can report on that. So you can share that.”</p> <p>Since taoDAO's inception DAOcast has been one of its main channels, so it was only a matter of time for these two initiatives to begin a fusion dance, whose outcome is unknown. In fact, the outcome is up to us to co-create.
