John Lennon interview by David Gresham (June 1969)
<p>This controversial interview was conducted by legendary Springbok Radio DJ David Gresham in June 1969 with Beatles Icon John Lennon. The reason for this interview taking place was that sometime earlier on John Lennon had made an alleged remark something to the effect of "The Beatles are bigger than Christ". Due to this alleged statement, South African Broadcasting Corporation (owner of all broadcasting at the time, including the country's national commercial radio station Springbok Radio) banned all forms of music by the Beatles outright. In June 1969 when Gresham was in London & had mentioned this to Lennon's manager, they were absolutely shocked at this decision which eventually led to Lennon inviting Gresham to interview him on this particular subject, where he felt a discussion & an apology was necessary. </p>

<p>The David Gresham Record Company (David Gresham Records) together with the SAMPRA (South African Music Performance Rights Association) Development Fund are excited to announce the “Sisonke Creator Tour to Amsterdam” taking place in The Netherlands between the 18th and 22nd of October 2022. David Gresham Records will be taking three top talents to the event to write, produce and perform alongside the world’s finest artists.</p> <p>The Company will be taking singer and songwriter, Zinah as well as producers Sloani and Josi Chavé to the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), where they will be taking part in songwriting sessions with some of the world’s most famous record labels and publishing companies. Zinah and Josi Chavé will also be performing at a showcase during their time at the event.</p>
