In Part 2 of The Dangers of Neglecting Your Spiritual Life, Bishop David Msiza challenges believers to recognise how easily the physical and material things of life can distract them from their spiritual lives.
Drawing from Hebrews 2:3, Genesis 3, Genesis 1, Hebrews 11:3, Joshua 1:8, 2 Corinthians 4:18, Luke 22:39–41 and Daniel 6:10, Bishop David teaches that what is spiritual must take precedence over what is physical. He explains that God’s order begins in the spiritual realm before finding expression in the physical, and warns against measuring spiritual blessing simply by physical success.
