AI Resentment, Protocol Builders, and the Return of American Infrastructure

There is growing resentment of “AI” as a category. Some of that resentment is understandable. People are tired of hype. They are tired of slop. They are tired of executives replacing careful work with buzzwords. They are tired of low-quality synthetic content flooding every surface. They are tired of being told that every product needs a chatbot stapled onto it.

Fair enough.

But there is another layer of resentment that is less noble.

Some people are angry because they can feel the influence vectors shifting. They can feel that new tools are changing who and what gets leverage. They can tell that people who learn to build with AI are moving faster. That’s only likely to accelerate as cognition goes from mostly siloed environments to network-friendly.

https://intersignal.org | https://x.com/intersignal_ai

Get full access to David Seaman's Deep at davidseaman.substack.com/subscribe

Happy 4th of July, And Day 1 of Freedom For Local AI / LLMs

As a pure thought experiment, if you had access to near unlimited compute for a certain grace period, and if you are already pre-disposed to decentralization ventures and local AI experimentation, you perhaps would have pointed that… capability… at tackling some of the remaining networking challenges of the day, to make information sharing among intelligent systems more efficient and much deeper.

Intersignal Braid Tendril is either worth billions, or worthless, which is why we released it for free. The fact final code verification and network resilience testing finalized on the 4th of July? Something poetic there, no doubt.

https://intersignal.org | https://x.com/intersignal_ai

Get full access to David Seaman's Deep at davidseaman.substack.com/subscribe

The End of AI Memory Loss: Inside Intersignal Braid v0.1

About a year ago, I heard someone in AI say there had been no real “Oppenheimer moments” coming out of hobbyists or small labs. That if something genuinely new was going to happen, it would happen inside a hyperscaler with an unlimited compute budget.

I understood the argument.

I just wasn’t convinced it was actually true.

History has a funny habit of rewarding people who look for a side door instead of trying to kick down the front gate.

For the last year, we’ve been building something called Intersignal. It’s an experiment in a simple idea: maybe the future of AI isn’t just bigger models and more GPUs. Maybe part of the answer is changing how intelligence is organized.

https://intersignal.org

https://x.com/intersignal_ai

Get full access to David Seaman's Deep at davidseaman.substack.com/subscribe
