From Russia With Love

In the wake of 007: First Light, Brogan and Murph jump back to 2005 to experience the last time we were between Bonds and games had to make due. The solution for From Russia With Love was to go back to the OG martini shaker by recruiting Sir Sean Connery himself to reprise his favorite (and arguably best) performance as 007. Unfortunately, this also means that it's a 2005 video game adaptation of a 1960's spy film starring an 80 year-old man, creating one of the odder artifacts of the Bond franchise.

TIMESTAMPS

00:28 - The Perfect Sean Connery Impersonation

Watcha Playin'

02:35 - Mina the Hollower (2026)

16:04 - Mixtape (2026)

26:45 - Zero Parades for Dead Spies (2026)

35:39 - Dispatch(?) Days Gone

Murph gets his freak on with guest host Stephen so he can finally talk about the best 7/10 AAA-Mid game: Days Gone. Once a showcloser for Sony's 2018 E3 showcase, Days Gone is already slipping from public consciousness. It's a crude, generic open-world zombie survival game about a sad white man...and yet there's something special about it (at least Murph thinks that). At very least it has the Sawmill Horde fight.

TIMESTAMPS

00:41 - The Cold Open

Watcha Playin'

03:09 - Marathon (2026)

18:55 - Echo Point Nova (2024)

27:10 - Titanium Court (2026)

38:20 - 007: First Light (2026)

51:00 - Tomb Raider Minute: Tomb Raider III (1998)

Variety Minute

1:01:15 - AAA Open-World Games

Game of the Week

1:23:25 - Days Gone (2019)

2:04:28 - Plugs & Farewells

Quake

Daydreamcast is here to make your legs quake and make you go crazy. We drop into id Software's first 3D shooter following their success with DOOM. The name Quake is known far and wide in the annals of Boomer Shooterdom, but it's never enjoyed a contemporary revival like it's older siblings DOOM and Wolfenstein have. Is there a reason it's churning madness of speed, gothism, and explosions has been left behind?

TIMESTAMPS

00:41 - BTW Daydreamcast passed 100 episodes

Watcha Playin'

01:32 - Super Meatboy 3D (2026)

08:49 - Poke All Toads (2026)

11:46 - Jason Vorhees in Dead By Daylight (2026)

22:42 - Alex in Street Fighter 6 (2026)

33:03 - My Hero: Ultra Rumble (2023)

42:48 - Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (2021)

51:53 - Tomb Raider Minute: Tomb Raider II (1997)

Variety Minute

1:03:30 - Modern Boomer Shooters

Game of the Week

1:20:20 - Quake (1996)

1:53:57 - Plugs & Farewells
