The Hague’s art and culture sector has a new listening ear<br />learned to put themselves in the hearing and minds of the Hagenezen and<br />residents of The Hague. We would like to introduce ’The Cultural<br />Omnivore’, the new program by Floris Meijer on the brand new PIP<br />Radio, an initiative of ’cultural brothel’ PIP The Hague.<br /><br />Through ’De Culturele Alleseter’ we offer a platform to artists,<br />makers and cultural entrepreneurs that we pay attention to on a monthly basis<br />spend on current performances, exhibitions and events - as well as<br />interesting stories. With this we offer talent from The Hague an opportunity to:<br />to bring initiatives and concepts to the attention of a committed,<br />broad and diverse young audience. <br /><br />In this program I will go into depth through interviews and reporting<br />conversation with the guests - we talk about your festival, event,<br />initiative or work. In addition to the feature on PIP Radio, fragments of the<br />show shared on social media in audiovisual form, including on platforms with a<br />large reach such as the Instagram page of PIP The Hague. <br />In this way we reach a large part of The Hague’s youth who are interested in a wide range of cultural activities, from film to music, from theater to dance.

De Culturele Alleseter 2.15 Alexander Serban - Hipfest
Op vrijdag 12 juni van 17:30 tot 02:00 keert Hipfest terug op het oude nest, aan de nostalgische Keizerstraat, met twee podia en dertien nationale en internationale acts. Ik spreek met de Scheveningse culturele duizendpoot Alexander Serban over het bestaan als nog één van de laatste gratis festivals. Verder gaan we het hebben over de line-up die van Luna Maki tot Tripkip reikt, met acts als De Plaag en Yan Lâle kan je spreken van een kleurrijk muziekpalet. Ten slotte gaan we de diepte in over hoe Hipfest de weerspiegeling is van Podium aan Zee, waarbij zij een gezonde afwisseling willen bieden van jong talent en artiesten met veel ervaring. We hebben het over de flexibiliteit die het met zich meebrengt om Hipfest jaarlijks vernieuwd terug te brengen, en sluiten af met de vreugde om weer terug te keren naar het hart van Scheveningen.

De Culturele Alleseter 2.14 Ian Rijnders - Kaderock
Kaderock staat weer voor de deur. De banners zijn inmiddels overal in de stad te vinden als aankondiging van het festival van poppodium Musicon. Tijdens het weekend van 5 en 6 juni strijkt de 29e editie neer aan de Soestdijksekade. Met headliners als Altin Gün en Het Goede Doel, en lokale helden als Splendid en The Clarks, biedt Kaderock een veelzijdig programma waarin voor ieder wat wils te vinden is. Ik ga in gesprek met Ian Rijnders, verantwoordelijk voor de marketing en publiciteit van Kaderock. We spreken over de verbindende kracht van het festival en onderzoeken hoe een evenement dat jaarlijks zo’n 6.000 bezoekers trekt, toch klein en intiem kan aanvoelen. Daarnaast duiken we in het ontstaan van Musicon en Kaderock, twee organisaties waarvan de geschiedenis nauw met elkaar verweven is. Ook bespreken we hoe Kaderock zijn eigen identiteit weet te behouden en tegelijkertijd steeds weer fris en vernieuwend voor de dag komt. Tot slot staan we stil bij het belang van plekken als Musicon, die de mentaliteit van de Haagse Popstad levend houden en telkens opnieuw weten aan te jagen.

De Culturele Alleseter Ep. 2.13 Feargal Aggard - Las Américas Filmfestival
Het Las Américas Filmfestival keert voor haar tweede editie terug naar het Filmhuis Den Haag. Ik ga in gesprek met Feargal Aggard, directeur van Las Américas en Humans of Film. We gaan het hebben over de complexiteit en het doorzettingsvermogen dat nodig is voor het opzetten van ondertussen twee filmfestivals. Het thema van deze editie is Origens. Feargal vertelt wat de betekenis van dit woord heeft gehad voor het programmeren van deze editie en hoeveel gelaagder het is dan de meeste mensen vaak denken. Daarnaast spreekt hij uitgebreid over hoe de Nederlandse beleving van film verschilt ten opzichte van andere culturen. Ten slotte bespreken we de bijzondere films, workshops en talks die in het resterende deel van het filmfestival nog getoond en plaats zullen vinden.
