In 1988 ontving een vennoot in New York een notitie waarin stond dat multicultureel management in opkomst was in de Verenigde Staten – een kans voor Nederland. Ila Kasem dacht destijds dat het voor Nederland nog te vroeg was en dat we het vraagstuk binnen enkele jaren wel zouden hebben opgelost. Nu, 30 jaar later, is het onderwerp actueler dan ooit. Ze is de drijvende kracht geweest achter het succesvolle (culturele) diversiteitsbeleid van ABN AMRO. </strong></p> <p><strong>Daarnaast is zij medeoprichter en voormalig voorzitter van het Agora Network, een netwerk van bedrijven en overheidsinstellingen die zich inzetten voor culturele diversiteit. </strong></p> <p><strong>Zij is een echte verbinder met een positieve mindset. E02: Ruben Brave over culturele diversiteit in de start-up wereld
<p>Mijn gast van vandaag is techondernemer, investeerder en bestuurder. Hij begon ooit in de jaren negentig in de opkomende internetsector en wist met succes een aantal ondernemingen op te zetten en te verkopen . Ook heeft hij hoogleraren geholpen om tech startups op te zetten met de incubator Entelligence BV. En na een lange sabbatical is hij vandaag de dag actief als investeerder en bestuurder met een groot hart voor inclusie. Zo heeft hij niet lang geleden Dutch New Narrative Lab opgezet, een initiatief om jonge ondernemers met een migratieachtergrond te helpen met hun start-up. Daarnaast is hij ook als bestuurder betrokken bij verschillende organisaties zoals SER Diversiteit in Bedrijf. Mijn gast van vandaag is niemand minder dan Ruben Brave. </p>
