De renners zullen bij de start van de Vuelta in Utrecht nauwelijks doorhebben dat ze niet in Spanje fietsen, gezien het kwik al dagen tot Mediterraanse hoogtes stijgt. Het zal voor Nederlandse toeristen die zichzelf in Zuid-Europese badplaatsen bruin garen bijna als oneerlijk aanvoelen dat ze net zo goed in hun eigen achtertuin hadden kunnen liggen bakken. Het probleem alleen, je wordt er zo moe en rusteloos van.
