De hoeveelheid plastic in huishoudelijke apparaten is moeilijk mechanisch te recyclen. De oplossing is in ontwikkeling, maar laat nog even op zich wachten. Wat doen we in de tussentijd? Lein Tange, directeur van de Polystyreen Loop, de proeffabriek die piepschuim recyclet, in gesprek met Esther Zondervan, onderzoeker bij TNO, over het recyclen van huishoudelijke apparaten. Waar zit het probleem en hoe ver zijn we met de oplossing? Wat duidelijk is, is dat iedere schakel in de waardeketen zich verantwoordelijk moet gaan voelen. TNO - De plastic cirkel is rond #1: Mogelijkheden met matrassen
Rob de Ruiter, business developer bij TNO in gesprek met Mark Groot Wassink, business development manager bij matrassenfabrikant Auping. Matrassen bestaan voor bijna de helft uit plastic. Verbranding betekent dat nuttige grondstoffen verloren gaan voor recycling én zorgt voor veel CO2-uitstoot. Zowel Rob als Mark zijn in hun dagelijks werk op zoek naar mogelijkheden om het recycle-proces te optimaliseren, en adviseren wat jóúw bijdrage kan zijn.
