Give God Your Whole Heart... Stop Holding Back!
Hi Dear Child Of God❤️,
Welcome to season 2 of the Dear Child Of God Podcast.
Wow. This new season is so special to me because I am coming back from a place where I felt like I didn't hear God concerning this vision. I doubted myself. I felt discouraged when I didn't see the likes or views. I was scared of what people would think of me. I was most importantly scared of preaching a lifestyle I don't live in private.
But I had to sit with God with all these feelings and ask Him to renew this vision in Him. Because it's not about me; it's about God.
That is why the theme for the season is 'Abiding In God'. It means trusting even when it doesn't make sense. Believing beyond our abilities and relying on the one who knows and sees all.
So for our first episode, we dive into what trusting God really means and looks like.
As you watch, I pray the perception you had of God is either changed or renewed and you develop a deeper love and trust of Him.
God bless you and don't forget to like, share and comment.❤️

EP 6: 7 Sins we take lightly but God takes them seriously!
Dear Child Of God,
When you think about sin, what is the first thing that pops in your head? Is it fornication? Adultery? Idolatry? Murder? Not walking in the will of God?
If you said 'yes' to any of these, you're right. Those are considered sins in the eyes of God. But what about those other 'little' sins we have categorized as not so bad because we don't think it's that deep?
What about lying? Gossiping? Judging others? procrastination and laziness? I'm sure that now that I have called them out loud, you're thinking ''yeah that's true. Those are bad too''.
But the truth is, a lot of the times we put them aside and they have become so normal in our society. But these ''little'' sins that we deem innocent, are abominations in the eyes of God. God doesn't just want us to look at the outward sins but He is also interested about the sins of the heart.
In this episode, Sammy J discuses 7 sins that we take lightly but God takes seriously. because God is so intentional and He doesn't want us to be walking outside of his will.
Our characters matter to Him. Our emotions matter to Him. Our reactions matter to Him.
I hope this episode blesses you and that as you listen and introspect, you'll find those little things that you do on a daily basis that are destroying your relationship with God.
God bless you and remember, GROW, LEARN and BECOME!

EP 5: Dear God, how can I worship you better? The true meaning of Worshp to God.
Dear child of God,
When we talk about worship, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Is it your favorite worship song? Is it lifting your hands in the air when singing?
What does worship mean to you?
Maybe like you, whenever I heard of the word 'worship', my first response was to put on music. But as I grew in my faith, God showed me that true worship to him was obeying his word. True worship to Him was loving people right. True worship to God was forgiving. True worship was living a life with a repentant heart and honoring God, not just with my words but with my actions, what I wore, how I spoke, what I ate, with my emotions, EVERYTHING!
God was showing me that, He wanted to be Lord over ALL my life and not just some parts. He wanted me wholeheartedly.
This pushed me to be so much more intentional about how I live. To live for an audience of ONE: GOD! To represent Him in every space I found myself in.
In this episode, we speak about true worship and how we can be more intentional in worshipping God in spirit and truth.
As you join Sammy J, may the Holy Spirit convict you and may your mind be renewed to seek God in everything and to be a Christian who produces the right fruit.
God bless you and remember, it's time to learn, grow and become.

EP 4: The Power Of Little Beginnings & Learning to Trust God All the Way
Dear Child Of God,
Have you ever found yourself in a space where you feel like maybe you didn't hear from God and so you start comparing yourself?
You start wondering if what you are doing has impact, if you're relevant.
This past week, I had to sit with myself and be honest. I had started comparing myself with other people. I started feeling as though I have nothing to say.
I started saying things like 'God, why do I seem to be working so hard and I get no results, yet someone else seems to just start and they have what I want?'
God had to remind that, everyone's journey is different and with Him, it's not about popularity. It's about impact.
When the devil came to tempt Jesus by telling him to bow to him (the devil), Jesus could have taken the eay way. Jesus could have given up his authority for a temporary solution/pleasure. But Jesus knew better. He knew that the suffering of today was nothing compared to the glory of tomorrw. And his sacrifice led to the world being saved.
So dear child of God, God doesn't want to take you somewhere just to leave you stranded. He wants you to last. And for that, it will take time. He will teach you things, work on your character and make sure that when you reach the destination, you stay/last.
I hope this video blesses you and please do not forget to like, share, subscribeMay God bless you as we all strive to Learn, Grow and Become.

EP 3: Dear God, when will this waiting season be over?
Dear Child of God,
Do you like waiting? You may say ''yes'' if you're waiting for 10 minutes. But if I were to tell you to wait for 5 hours, 5 days, 5 months, 5 years, ...would you still enjoy waiting?
The truth is, the waiting season is very unpleasant, it's tiring, it'unpreictable because you don't even know when it will end. And a lot of the times, when we find ourselves in the waiting season, our first reaction is to complain, compare ourselves to others, and we will try to rush it.
But you cannot rush your waiting season!
Your waiting season is not punishment; it's preparation. God is trying to prune something in you. God is trying to teach you something. God is trying to reveal something to you and if you don't learn that lesson, you will find yourself repeating the same mistakes and repeating the same cycles.
So dear child of God, in this episode, Sammy discusses what the waiting season really entails and how you can wait well. What you need to be doing in your waiting season and how you can partner with God in order to become who He always intended you to be.
How you wait matters! So wait well.

EP 2: Dear God, I feel far from you. Why are you silent?
Dear Child Of God,
There have been times when you have felt far from God. When you have felt like, you've prayed, fasted, worshipped, and done everything in the Christian book to hear from God, but he feels distant. You are met with silence. You start feeling like God doesn't care about you. You feel God is insensitive to your requests.
But a lot of the times, when we feel distant from God, the person who has moved is us; not God.
There could be so many things hindering us from feeling God's presence: is it sin? Is it distractions? Is it your misconceptions about God?
In this episode, Sammy dives into why we may feel distant from God and how to reconnect with Him again. It's time to stop striving and hustling as children of God by doing more and instead learn how to rest and abide in the presence of God. We need to stop equating the voice of God to the physical manifestations and start plugging more into the spiritual connection.
God wants to speak to you more than you want to speak to Him.
As you listen, open your heart and allow God to pour into you. He wants your surrender, your vulnerability. Let Him in and grow in intimacy with God.
May God bless you as we all strive to Learn, Grow and Become.

EP 1: Dear God, I feel unqualified...
What happens when God gives you a vision and it feels too big for you? What happens when God tells you to do something and you feel unqualified to do that thing? You feel like you need more time. More training. You're not an eloquent speaker. You don't have credentials for the work. Do you reject the call on your life or do you trust God?
In this episode, Sammy dives deep into how she got the vision for this podcast. How she tried running from God, how she felt unworthy to lead and speak to people. Through her vulnerability, she shares how she overcame her fear of not being enough and finally surrendered to God.
If you deal with any form of unworthiness, feeling unqualified and not good enough, this episode will make you feel seen and heard. It will also guide you to God, and help you be vulnerable with Him. As you listen to Sammy, you'll realize God is a friend and someone you can confide in and trust. And you'll learn how to surrender better.
May God bless you as we all strive to Learn, Grow and Become.
