Though many are aware of Islamophobia in India, few realize the gravity of the situation. People protesting against an anti-muslim law proposal were robbed of wifi, communication, and travel. Muslim women were auctioned virtually. Local governments announced orders that crushed Muslims economically. The Karnataka government asserted that young girls who wore hijabs would be refused from entering school. The Bharatiya Janata Party accused Muslims of bioterrorism during the peak of COVID-19 outbreaks. Listen to Joshita Nandakumar and Vinitha Shanmugam discuss recent Islamophobic acts to play their part in spreading awareness by emphasizing the lesser-known brutalities against Muslims.

immigration and H4 dreamers with ABIC
This episode is definitely a more serious, candid discussion. Join us along with ABIC (Action for Backlogged Immigrant Children) as we unpack the green card backlog, H4 dependent visa, and emotional stress that comes with living in the US as an immigrant. Recording this episode itself was extremely eye opening. This topic doesn’t get nearly as much attention as it should, so we believe it’s very important for us to help spread this message. hinduism/cherry-picking: let’s talk
Due to the recent buzz around manifestation and controversial opinions about what exactly is considered religious cultural appropriation, we had a conversation about where the line must be drawn. Some of us had different opinions than others of us, so you’ll get to hear different perspectives. Since this is a heavy subject, we have 7 people in this episode! If you’re not informed about hinduism, listening to this episode would be a good way to understand the basic beliefs, but even if you’re already familiar with the religion, we hope this episode allows you to be able to relate and gather new insight. -Ameya, Anya, Arshiya, Harshini, Joshita, Nitya, and Yuktha (P.S. We want to say a HUGE thank you for helping us spread our platform during this past week; we are extremely grateful and have so many exciting projects in store!!)
