I know you’re here for the same reason I am, to listen and connect with inspirational and compelling stories from creators, artists, humanitarians, and out of the box thinkers. Inspiration is all around us if we just take a moment to tune in. I encourage you to open your mind, prepare your heart, and energize your spirit with these moments. They’re real, they’re raw, and they’re honest. I’m Angie Evans and this is Dear Future Me.
Natalie Kokenge on growing up, entrepreneurship, sexuality, and having one too many drinks!
It’s a day chat with Nat. This one makes me slightly nervous, if I’m being honest. We chat like it’s just us, no filters, gloves off. We talk about: starting a new business, sexualization of females, cancel culture, race, love, insecurities, addiction, and manifesting life long purpose. This chick is cool, she’s driven, and she’s on fire right now. Welcome to the podcast, Natalie Kokenge.

Anna Davis on addiction, grief, growth, and love.
The one where we just get right into it. Death, grief, addiction, showing up, growth, losing love, finding love. Portrait & Lifestyle Photographer, Anna Davis, and I talk about all of life’s messy parts in an honest and relatable way. What’s helped us through and what keeps us going. This is a very human episode, it’s a stripped down conversation between two souls. No pretense, no degrees, no science, just life experience and gained knowledge along the way. I hope this finds someone out there that needs to be heard and given a bit of hope.

Chris Willburn on body/mind/spirit and it’s relation to weight loss and major transformation.
Listen as we talk through the science of weight loss and massive transformation - body, mind, spirit - based on neuroscience. This is not a diet episode, I repeat this IS NOT a diet episode. This is for anyone who needs help climbing out of the hole they are in! Chris is a professional in personal training, nutrition, and true top to bottom transformation. Toward the end I open up about current and old troubles and Chris walks me through it (in real time) and explains what’s actually behind it scientifically. Transformation has SO MANY layers, and this is an episode I will be listening to over and over again! ENJOY!

Kelly Lemon on overcoming life altering trauma and learning to live body paralyzation.
You knew this one was coming, didn't you? Kelly Lemon, a woman that inspires me beyond words. Her story is traumatizing, but also incredibly profound. A true tale of what can happen, if you have a strong desire to live and succeed, even when life hands you a lemon (pun intended!). My heart breaks, but my soul catches fire, every time I hear a piece of this story. This time she shares a bit more about what she really went through those first few years as a young girl, dealing with a sudden paralyzation of 25% of her body. Things I didn't even know, and she's one of my very best friends! The ups, the downs, and how she was able to rise above and actually embrace her new life, despite its unique challenges. There are so many layers to her story that I'll have to have her back on to dive into those parts, but for now I'll leave you with this. Enjoy!

Rev on homelessness, substance and sexual abuse, fear, and faith.
This one is heavy. We hit on some pretty real topics from someone who has experienced them firsthand. We talk through leaving home at a young age, homelessness, addiction, questioning sexuality post rape, death, love, fear, hope, and faith. This man is real, he's honest, and through all the heaviness that is his journey he still manages to laugh, to connect, and to tell his story.
Thank you, Rev, for your open heart and your honesty. I know there's someone out there that needs to hear what you've shared today.
You can find Rev in Mesa, Arizona working with our homeless community to give them support, hope, and ultimately a new look on life. Thank you for your dedication and hard work, Rev!
