Episode 11: Learning and Evolving

It has been a while since my last episode... I am now 20 and as they say, with age comes great wisdom. Today I explore how we are always learning and evolving, what I have learned and changed since moving back to England from my time away in Belgium. I talk about my ever-changing habits, referencing The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg - a book that has really benefitted me and given great insight into how I view and apply habits in my life. I also mention social media and its role on the state of my mental health, explaining why taking regular breaks helps me to reset and become more grounded. Take time to listen to what you need, away from the standards and opinions of society and those around you. Reflect what you need most right now and how can you make that a priority?

Episode 10: A Lack Of Permanence

In today's episode I discuss the daunting reality that a lack of permanence is, that nothing in our life is permanent, other than ourselves. This is better than it sounds; it helps us within the hard times. It gives us the freedom to explore what we actually want, not what is expected of us. Look at what you have been through so far, look how far you've come. Whatever comes your way, whatever you go through, you are strong enough to come out the other side. With each new opportunity comes a new experience, with an experience - good or bad - you will end up learning from it. This is invaluable. With that, I urge you to try something new. If nothing else, it will be an experience... and you might just learn something.

Episode 9: How to Prioritise

Prioritising is an important aspect of life and can be a contributing factor into your success, learning to prioritise will benefit not only yourself and your future, but also the relationships you have with people. Your priorities are strongly linked to your intrinsic values, by starting with these you can find what you should be prioritising. Getting to know your values and priorities is also a great exercise for self-discovery, learning about what you should consider when making decisions, in turn makes them easier. Today I explore how to find your priorities by breaking it down into a process, an exercise I find extremely beneficial.
