Dear Graduate, everything is going to be okay. Yes- you have big decisions ahead, you can’t exactly see how God will use all your gifts and dreams, and you’re trying to stay faith-rooted while pursuing a career. The Dear Graduate Podcast is here to help you start believing that you don't have to choose between your work life and your life's work. Hosted by non-profit director Iesha Boitmann, this is a space to turn down the noise and embrace your mission-field.

Brian Boitmann is the Head of Sports for a media measurement company using data to contextualize and grow the value of sponsorships for teams, and leagues all over the world. He's worked in for-profit ministry, non-profit ministry, the Church, and now a small tech company. In every space, he has learned a very important lesson- security is found nowhere but in Christ. You'll hear his journey of taking big leaps with no reason but obedience, and the places God has taken him since then. This one is fun, and extra personal as Brian is the husband of your Dear Graduate host.

16. See God in Spreadsheets
Tiffany is an accounting student in a prestigious program at the University of Texas. As she prepares for a promising future, God has presented her with a journey of discernment and surrender. Many students worry if they will ever be able to find a job, but for some students, the guarantee of a "successful" career brings with it an entire different set of questions. We're exploring that today with Tiffany and you're going to love it.

15. Obedience: Take Small Radical Steps Forward
When we talk about making big life decisions and how hard it can be to step out in faith with confidence, inevitably the word obedience comes up. Living out the life God has purposed for us is made up of a million tiny steps of obedience… but what does that really mean?
We’re diving into the freedom of hearing, trusting, and surrendering. I tell a story of a moment that changed my life in a tiny village in Kenya, and what God taught me about obedience. He cares. About every tiny moment and decision, and we get to know that and live tangled up in relationship with Him.

Today we are jumping in the deep end with our dynamic and encouraging friend, Gabe McKinney. Gabe is the Director of Spiritual Development for BYX (https://betaupsilonchi.org/about/what-we-do/), the nationwide Christian Fraternity that exists to establish brotherhood and unity among college men based on the common bond of Jesus Christ. 12. Don't Fear the Doubting (with college senior Katie Guy)
Doubt. Whether we experience it in seasons, or a moment, chances are we will find ourselves asking big scary questions at some point. 2020 was a hard year for us all, but today we are talking to Katie Guy who experienced multiple losses on top of an isolating year. Katie vulnerably shares how she navigated this season and all of the hard questions that came with it. One thing you'll walk away from this conversation with is a reminder that God is not afraid or intimidated by your questions, He values intimacy with you.

11. Make Small Faithful Decisions
Today we are exploring the power of your "yes" and your "no". Often times, I find myself in a conversation with college students who are feeling stretched thin and are coming to terms with how hard it is for them to say no and create boundaries. This causes the process of making big life decisions more difficult and overwhelming than it needs to be. We can learn how to make decisions from a place of conviction, not culture or habit.

10. Pray For Who You Are Becoming
Praying about our “calling” or “purpose” can be powerful, but often times we are missing out better questions we could be asking. While we believe in praying specific prayers, sometimes those prayers can come from a place of claiming God’s simple call on our lives is not BIG ENOUGH. Love God, love people- it’s not a small calling.
Today, Iesha tells a story of a time in her life where God answered her questions of purpose in a way that left her wrestling and wanting more, only to come to the realization that more is not necessary when you have enough.

07. Make Faith-Rooted Career Decisions
In celebration of ServeHere's new Executive Director, we're sharing a little bit about the non-profit's journey to helping college students discover their ministry. ServeHere has impacted the lives of so many college students and non-profit partners, but God is always the driver. In the short time we have together today, we share a story of a stranger at a coffee shop, and how she reminded us of why we remain passionate about this work. When the world is loud and confusing, you can take refuge in the fact that God is working. Through your work, through your heart, and even through strangers.
This is the episode to share with someone who is looking for a place to pour into college students, to financially partner with, or for those of you out there trying to understand how to bridge the gap between the college bubble and the rest of the world.
Regardless of why you're here, our prayer is that you believe in the gifts you have to share with the world. They're purposeful, and needed.

02. Advent & The Ministry of Waiting
When you think of the word waiting, do you think of a doctor’s office waiting room? Perhaps a long line at the grocery store? What if you saw waiting as those few seconds before a race? A runner is focused, in an active position, ready… waiting for the signal to GO.
Today we’re talking about waiting. Whether it’s a day or a season, often times the last few semesters of college feel like you’re waiting for your future to start. If that’s the case, you might be missing out on something really important. The good news is a simple shift in perspective can bring hope into any "in-between" season.
