Ep#7 Why The Climate Crisis is A Humanitarian Crisis with Campaigner Muna Suleiman
In this episode, Sara and Nabilah are speaking with C40 Climate Campaigner Muna Suleiman.
When you hear the term 'climate crisis', what comes to mind?
Is it visions of a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world? Or is it separating your plastics at home?
And who does it impact?
It's a term that's polarised communities and dominated the political landscape in recent years, and sadly, for very many, it's a reality that has devastated their homes and livelihoods.
When it comes to the climate crisis, the future can look bleak and overwhelming, but climate campaigner Muna Suleiman is here to share her understanding of what the climate crisis actually is, what action can look like and how that changes our future.
Muna sheds light on why the climate crisis is a humanitarian crisis, why individual action is the ultimate act of worship, the role of NGOs and the connection between race and the climate crisis, here in the UK and across the world.
