Dear Women... an ode- a love letter by way of intentional transparency to you. Hell, to me. An opportunity to hear and be heard. This space is for the dopest, the insecure, the totality of who we are. I plan on learning with you and at times teaching a thing or two. No stranger to speaking or being in front of an audience- this time there's no barriers. Dear Women.. a love letter to you and to me.
Have you ever had someone apologize and you knew it was simply a formality?? Yeah. I went there!
They didn’t mean a word of it. #Performative..
How about when your mama made you say sorry? LoL!
One thing that was proven this week was that an apology is simply words… Words put into the air, and damn… we can’t even dance to them anymore!
This episode of Dear Women is for the survivors… a soft place to land.

Yeehaw or whatever Beyoncé said.
I don’t know if you saw this coming-but here we all are. A world in which Beyonce’ has dropped a dag on country album? The question mark is intentional punctuation.
Because.. huh?
Most of us didn’t expect this and of course innovation has a way of blindsiding the best of us.
I took some notes, although they weren’t musical in nature…. What would happen if you stayed true to your vision amidst doubts and external pressures? Saddle up folks. This ain’t Texas .. but I want you to hold on to this.

What About Your Friends: When The Real Have No WiFi
Many songs about friendship often focus on past beefs or fall-outs of relationships rather than the strength of current ones, questioning loyalty and true qualifications as a friend.
While it's easy to resonate with songs like TLC's hit, "Will They Stand Their Ground…..” it's crucial to introspect and consider how you show up on the friends scale.
Evaluating your actions, support, and reliability in your friendships can cultivate stronger bonds and meaningful connections. Show me your friends… and it’ll show me who you are.

Love has everything to do with it!
Love has everything to do with it!
Be Clear… I know what love is - through learning what it isn’t... (yes, I said it.)
February 14th tends to cause ruckus for people all because of one cycle of 24-hours dedicated to the space of love… dare I call it like!!?
I mean I get it- we *sigh* go through it… The Bible spells out what love is but at times I think they left some stuff out.
I had a friend shove two pieces of heart shaped candy in my hand and say “that’s it - that’s all I’m doing!!” And turned her head in haste. Mind you.. it was only February 13th. Truth be told .. love has left a lot of us eff’d up.
I refuse to talk about the lack of love, instead, I want to talk about what love has been to me… and to you.
**Let’s swap the stories about how love had us about to catch a case another day… Shhhhh!**

Could It Simply Be?
Could it simply be? … Lauryn L- Boogie Hill once painfully yet eloquently sang “It could all be so simple… but you’d rather make it hard…. Loving you is like battle, but we both end up with scars.”
Now, I know you know the song.. but what if it wasn’t to or about your Ex.. but .. to yourself? On this episode of Dear Women… I’m joined by entrepreneur, creator, all encompassing dope chic Juanita Henderson of She Is Seen Collective.
This episode asks a compelling question that every human can benefit from answering … if you’re bold enough to inquire.

Chaka and Whitney Lied: Unmasking The Myth Of Being Every Woman
Inspired by the iconic song "I'm Every Woman" made famous by Chaka Khan and Whitney Houston, this thought-provoking episode examines the pressures and expectations placed on women in society.
Toya T delves into the complex dynamics of identity, self-worth, and societal norms. We explore how Chaka and Whitney, two influential figures, represented the idea of "being every woman" in their music and public personas.
However, we question whether this portrayal was an accurate reflection of the diverse experiences and realities of women, dismantling the myth of the "superwoman" archetype.
Woman - Noun: “a female person associated with a particular place, activity, or occupation.” However… I’m not EVERY Woman!!! Are you?
