A true-crime podcast that explores the 2015 Kolkata Horror House case. In this mini-series by Asiaville, we explore the never-heard-before details, accounts and paint the picture of a family that disintegrated to ashes...or rather to bones. This is the story of Partha De and his family, who hogged headlines for living with the skeleton of the daughter of family for more than six months. Nobody, including the neighbours
and the relatives had any clue. If Partha's father hadn't set himself on fire, perhaps no one would ever know. An intriguing case the right amount of macabre and mystery.
In the fourth episode of the podcast, we explore the centrepiece of our story, Partha De, and the tragic end to his life. On an upward curve from all the negative media attention, it had started seeming like Partha had finally buried the skeletons of his past; but when Father Rodney discovered Partha's charred body in February 2017, no one could explain why he'd done that. Diaries of the Dead
In the second episode of the podcast we explore dubious diaries that the Des maintained. Four days after Partha was arrested, somebody in the police leaked personal details replete with sexual undertones to media, making the 'Konkal Kando' even more saucy. In this episode we lift that layer of sensationalism and look if the contents of the diaries add up or they were just ramblings of a family unsettled by trauma.
