First we discuss the murder of Dr. Charles Scudder and Joey Odom - who built a “castle in the woods” - a self sufficient manor aptly named Corpsewood Manor. The two were brutaly slain by guests Tony West and Avery Brock. Then we jump into the Heaven’s Gate cult, a religious movement started by Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles in the 70’s which ended in the mass suicide of 39 individuals who believed their death would result in alien abduction and human perfection.
