The sermon explores the dual approach Paul takes in Colossians to address false teaching: warning against deceptive persuasive arguments and affirming the believer's secure union with Christ. It emphasizes that the antidote to Gnostic error is not intellectual debate but a deep understanding of Christ's full deity and the believer's position in Him. The text highlights the progression of the Christian life, moving from being firmly rooted in Christ at salvation to being continuously built up and established in the faith through instruction. This stability is characterized by good discipline and steadfastness, contrasting with the lukewarmness of Laodicea. The message concludes by encouraging believers to respond to this truth with overflowing gratitude, recognizing that their security rests solely in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Trinity in Scriptures
This sermon examines the doctrine of the Trinity through specific passages in the book of Isaiah, identifying the distinct roles and relationships of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The analysis begins with Isaiah 42, where the Father is presented as the commissioner who delights in the Son, the Servant, who is empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring gentle justice to the Gentiles. The teaching continues with Isaiah 48, exploring the debate over whether the Father or the Son is the speaker, while emphasizing the unity of the divine persons in the sending of the Messiah. Finally, the sermon introduces Isaiah 61 alongside Luke 4, highlighting the anointing of Christ by the Spirit to preach good tidings and bind up the brokenhearted. Throughout the discussion, the preacher emphasizes that the three persons of the Trinity are united in purpose and authority, rather than operating in a hierarchy of subordination, providing a cohesive Old Testament foundation for understanding the triune nature of God.

26-09-27 Meet Christiana
Meet Christiana Faith Debate: Sunday, September 27th, 2026 (10/04/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) Does history warn against Christian avoidance of "Artificial Intelligence"? In other words, are saints today repeating the strategic error of early 20th-Century fundamentalism? In the 1920s–1940s significant sectors of Christianity responded to cultural/intellectual hostility by withdrawing from universities, media, & public institutions; a posture that ceded enormous cultural influence for generations. The result wasn't the preservation of orthodoxy so much as the marginalization of orthodox Christianity from the formation of cultural institutions. Figures such as J Gresham Machen fought against this withdrawal, arguing that Christians must engage & reform institutions, rather than abandon them. The Faith Debate wondered if Christian avoidance of AI is the beginning of another decades-long strategic retreat that future generations will lament, asking if separation from culture has ever produced a more Christian culture. Can the church sanctify what it abandons? You're encouraged to go listen to these shows. In the meantime, this episode is part 2 of a 4-part conversation on the subject of spiritual visions/apparitions.
