"Get That Man Monday" – Rethinking Standards in Dating
The episode’s focal point was the newsletter topic, "Get That Man Monday," which highlighted the importance of women reassessing their standards in dating. Dex pushed back against the idea that women are "too picky," instead shining a light on:
* Societal Pressures: How cultural norms encourage women to tolerate mediocrity in relationships.
* Bare Minimum Dating Culture: A trend where men invest minimal effort while women shoulder disproportionate emotional labor.
* The Difference Between Settling and Compromising: Settling stems from fear, while compromise is rooted in shared values and mutual growth.
Dex encouraged women to reflect on whether their standards truly align with their self-worth and genuine compatibility.
Healthy Standards Are Empowering, Not Unreasonable
In a fiery segment, Dex emphasized that maintaining high standards doesn’t mean being inflexible. Key takeaways included:
* Emotional Safety is Essential: True relationships thrive on vulnerability, which requires emotional security from both partners.
* Self-Worth is Non-Negotiable: A good partner will appreciate and rise to meet your standards.
* Personal Growth is Key: Standards should evolve with your own journey, reflecting what you genuinely need in a partner.
Dex passionately reminded listeners: Those who undermine your self-worth are not allies, much less true partners.
A Call for Accountability in Relationships
Dex wrapped up with a call for mutual accountability in dating. He challenged men to step up with effort, vulnerability, and consistency. He also encouraged women to remain self-aware and emotionally available while standing firm in their values.

Closing Notes
Dex signed off with a heartfelt reminder: Maintain your confidence, don’t settle, and embrace your worth. He hinted at exciting upcoming content while urging listeners to take this holiday week to reflect, recharge, and do good for others.
This episode was a powerful reminder that dating isn’t about chasing someone to meet your standards—it’s about becoming the person who naturally attracts the right match.
