What happens when the world pushes back against your faith? Do you crumble or do you rise up? On 'Defiant Under Fire', l will take a hard look at the struggles we face and discover how to stand firm, fight for what's true, and never give up on the hope that sets us free.
Fake Messages & Generational Warfare — Episode 46 with Mark & Jeremy
Wake up. Pray. Bible study. Devotional. Coffee. Worship music. Another perfect day with Jesus.
Scroll through Christian social media and sometimes it looks like everyone else has figured it out. But what happens when you wake up and you don't feel like praying? What happens when you read the Bible and still feel lost? When you're struggling with the same sin you've been fighting for years? When you're angry with God, exhausted, lonely, anxious about the future or simply wondering why your life doesn't look anything like the Christian life you're seeing online?

In this episode of The Defiant Under Fire, we get brutally honest about the difference between the Christianity people POST and the Christianity people actually LIVE.
Jeremy joins me as we talk about fake messages, the pressure to look like we've got everything together, and what life can actually feel like for an ordinary Christian trying to follow Jesus in a world that constantly pulls us in the opposite direction. But we also go deeper.
We talk about the enemy, spiritual warfare and generational patterns — the things that can be passed down through families, the behaviours and beliefs we inherit without even realising it, and the possibility that some of the battles we're fighting didn't begin with us.
Are we sometimes fighting battles we don't even understand? Are we giving the enemy too much credit? Or are Christians sometimes far too comfortable pretending spiritual warfare isn't real? And perhaps most importantly: What does following Jesus actually look like when nobody is watching?
No perfect morning routines. No pretending. No polished Christian image. Just two people trying to understand what it really means to follow Christ while dealing with the very real struggles of life.
If you've ever looked at other Christians and thought, "Why doesn't my faith feel like that?” — this episode is for you.

Waiting For Answers - Episode #45
What do we do when we pray, trust God, wait... and nothing changes?
In this episode, Mark and Jeremy wrestle with some uncomfortable questions about God's will, unanswered prayer and what it actually means to be guided by God. What if you spend years praying for something that was never going to happen? How are we supposed to know whether God is closing a door, asking us to wait, or simply leaving the decision in our hands?

And then the conversation takes a more personal turn.
Jeremy talks about his relationship with his wife and Mark opens up about relationships, marriage and what he's actually looking for in a godly woman — not just attraction, but the kind of character, faith and values that could form the foundation of a lasting marriage.

Dealing With Shame - episode #44
We've all been there. You find Jesus. You experience His grace. You believe your life has changed... and then somehow, somewhere, you fall back into old habits. The shame creeps in, and before long, you begin to avoid the very One who came to save you.

In this episode, inspired by one of the most powerful storylines in The Chosen, we explore why shame makes us run from God, why we believe we've gone too far, and why Jesus never stops calling us back.
This isn't an episode about pretending Christians don't struggle. It's about discovering that failure doesn't have the final word.
