<p><strong></strong><a href="10.1001/jamasurg.2026.2168" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer"><strong>Cholecystectomy vs Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography or No Intervention After Gallstone-Related Acute Pancreatitis (JAMA Surg., 2026)</strong></a><strong></strong></p><p>Este estudio de cohorte sueco determina que la colecistectomía realizada durante la misma admisión hospitalaria resulta en la menor tasa de recurrencia de pancreatitis aguda y otras complicaciones biliares. </p><p>Aunque la CPRE exclusiva muestra un riesgo bajo de recurrencia de pancreatitis a largo plazo, persisten complicaciones significativas como la colecistitis aguda al no removerse la vesícula biliar. </p><p>Los resultados refuerzan la necesidad de priorizar la cirugía definitiva temprana para mitigar el elevado riesgo de episodios recurrentes, el cual es especialmente alto poco después del alta hospitalaria.</p>

<p><a href="https://doi.org/10.1007/s00464-026-12715-7" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer"><strong>Minimally invasive repair of iatrogenic bile duct injuries: a systematic review and meta-analysis (Surg Endosc, 2026)</strong></a></p><p>Este metanálisis de 16 estudios evalúa la seguridad y eficacia de los abordajes laparoscópico y robótico para la reparación de lesiones iatrogénicas de la vía biliar. </p><p>Los resultados demuestran que la cirugía mínimamente invasiva es una opción viable con bajas tasas de fístula biliar (4.8%), estenosis (3.9%) y conversión a cirugía abierta (2.3%).</p><p>El análisis concluye que estos procedimientos logran resultados exitosos y seguros en manos experimentadas, con una morbilidad general aceptable del 16.2%. </p>

<p><a href="10.1001/jamasurg.2026.1626" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer"><strong>Mesh Placement and Risk of Recurrence and Bowel Obstruction After Primary Ventral Hernia Repair (JAMA Surg., 2026)</strong></a></p><p>Este estudio nacional de cohorte en Dinamarca evalúa el riesgo de reoperación por recurrencia y obstrucción intestinal en 17,832 pacientes según la técnica de colocación de la malla. </p><p>Los hallazgos demuestran que las posiciones retromuscular e intraperitoneal (IPOM) presentan un riesgo significativamente mayor de complicaciones en comparación con la técnica onlay. </p><p>Se concluye que las colocaciones onlay y preperitoneal son las opciones preferibles para la reparación de hernias ventrales primarias al considerar la seguridad a largo plazo.</p>
