Die britische Horrorkomödie rund um ein bike-verrücktes Pärchen, die es mit einem Blutsauger auf zwei Rädern zu tun bekommen, macht keinen Hehl aus seinem fehlenden Budget. Dafür drehen die bekloppten Briten maximal an der absurden Kreativitätsschraube!<br><br>Hat Queen Elisabeth I BOUGHT A VAMPIRE MOTORCYCLE nachweislich gesehen? Wahrscheinlich nicht. Aber ausschließen, dass sie sich im stillen Kämmerlein im Buckingham Palace über Noddy, Kim und das Vampirbike beäumelt hat, können wir auch nicht. Bis mit dem aufrechten Buchhalter Jonathan Harker und seiner Gattin Mina zwei Außenstehende unter den tödlichen Einfluss des Grafen geraten. Jetzt kann nur noch einer helfen: Vampirjäger Abraham Van Helsing. (Koch Media)</blockquote><div><strong><br></strong>Obwohl DRACULA 3D nur so vor Blutgespratze strotzt, bleibt Dario Argentos erster (und einziger) Ausflug in den Vampirkosmos erschreckend blutleer. Das hat Gründe.<br><br>Lag es daran, dass sich Argento für Thomas Kretschmann entschied, weil er ein "typisch europäisches Gesicht" hatte - und deswegen immer schmerzverzehrt durchs Bild stampft? Oder das alles in Dracula schrecklich künstlich aussieht, bis hin zur wohl miesesten CGI-Wolfsverwandlung ever? Oder lag es einfach daran, dass Tochter Asia Argento mal wieder nackig durchs Bild wackeln musste? Fragen über Fragen, wieso sich der Giallo-Altmeister mit solch einem dampfenden Kackhaufen sein Spätwerk versaut. Was für die Erwachsenen die LINDENSTRASSE war, dürfte für Kinder die AUGSBURGER PUPPENKISTE gewesen sein.<br><br>Die Holzmarionetten mit den markigen Gesichtern, strubbeligen Frisen und benebelt-hakeliger Gangart zählen zu Recht zum deutschen Kulturgut. Urmel, König Kalle Wirsch und Jim Knopf zählen bis heute zu den unangefochtenen Nostalgie-Lieblingen. Doch was ist mit MONTY SPINNERRATZ, dem Rattenjung, der das ganze New Yorker Rattenvolk vor dem Gifttod durch den Immo-Hitler retten wollte? Tjoa, über den redet kaum jemand...<br><br>Mit DIE STORY VON MONTY SPINNERRATZ wollte die Augsburger Puppenkiste den Sprung auf die Leinwand schaffen, auch international. Doch dieses Experiment ging gründlich in die Hose und hinterließ traumatisierte Kinder, die fortan der Kanaligator Charon in ihren Albträumen (oder beim Klogang) heimsuchte. Ein Spezialfall für den Trashtaucher.
