Wrestling was a simpler time when fans on message boards in corners of the internet would send VHS's in the mail for an envelope of unmarked bills. Some of the finest tapes you could get where compilations of wrestling from around the world that was curated by some person or even a group of folks. A treat from one fan to another, good wrestling.
Desert Island Comp asks our guests (and future survivalists) one simple question, if you could take one disk of 8 matches (and a sprinkle of angles) with you to a desert island, what would you put on it? Would it be matches you love to no end? Matches that challenge you? Matches that remind you of how you watched wrestling with a loved one?
Listen in and ask yourself, what would you put on your desert island compilation?
On this episode of Desert Island Comp, we are fortunate to have the one and only Stephen of Fujiwarsmirks. Stephen has not been in the muck of niche wrestling for long but he has quickly taken to it like water. Learn more about what content creators might have inspired him as well as the styles he gravitates to.

Padraig
We have hit the typical average in a year of Desert Island Comp, bringing the host of the hit podcast, Late Night With the 2012 Royal Rumble. He has a brain altered by hopping in straight to the deep end of wrestling. The list a reflection of that. SPOILER: None of his matches have appeared on any other Desert Island Comp.

JR Goldberg
Incredibly short turnaround for the Desert Island Comp to come back, this time with one of the authors of Methlab BattlArts, JR Goldberg. One of my (Sam's) favorite people to talk wrestling with. Someone who is incredibly passionate about wrestling and is actually able to speak to that. Get buckled in to talk about one of the most diverse lists yet.

Dan Rice
Co-Host of Talking Tourneyts, Desert Island Compilation series is back with long-time friend of the show Dan Rice. We talk a lot about the peak of his fandom, what drew him like a moth to flame to the US indies of 2003-2008 as well as plenty of Absolute Intense Wrestling chatter. Great time had by all.

Jamesie
Desert Island Comp series is BACK! This time with everyone's favorite Irish wrestling fan (sorry Barry) Jamesie. He has a comp that is at the same time personal as it is filled with matches that simply whip. A great episode that you'll want to listen to*.
*Except for my audio specifically being a bit poor. Something was going on with my mic. Pod itself was too good to not release just because of that though.

Desert Island Comp is BACK this time with long-time member of wrestling message boards throughout time and podcaster, Chad Campbell. Was great to hear Chad dive deep into the wrestling he felt was worth carrying with him for the rest of his days. We do some chatting about how things have changed since I first reached out years ago to do this show.

Chris from IVP Videos
Realizing as I'm typing this that I need to put the first four episodes of this series in the feed, Chris from IVP Videos joins me to talk about the matches he wishes to include on his Desert Island Comp. He is someone that if you have been a fan of wrestling for a certain period of time probably have bought DVDs from to watch some Japanese wrestling. So obviously his list is filled with Japanese wrestling? Listen to this week's episode and find out.
