Dial Tone is a podcast about the conversations that only happen when the call goes long.
We’re Anthony and Taco. Two unlikely friends who met years ago and somehow never hung up. We’ve spent thousands of hours on the phone together. Late nights. Early mornings. Long drives. Bored days. Heavy days. Just talking through life in real time.
This podcast is an extension of those calls.
Every episode is a raw, honest, and often hilarious conversation about anything and everything. One minute we’re talking about pooping in a bucket. Next minute we’re unpacking masculinity, relationships, mental health, ambition, failure, and the stuff people usually only admit to their closest friend.
There’s no script. No agenda. No filters. Just two friends on the line saying what most people think but don’t say out loud.
Dial Tone is a long-form conversation podcast about friendship, modern masculinity, growing up, screwing up, and trying to figure things out as you go. It’s part therapy, part comedy, part late-night phone call you didn’t realize you needed.
If you’ve ever lost track of time on a call that turned into real talk, laughs, and unexpected clarity, you’re already in the right place.
Stay on the line.

Episode 42 starts off strong when we realize we just recorded half an episode without the camera actually recording. So naturally, we run the whole thing back and somehow make it even more unhinged the second time.
Ant recaps shooting his first wedding in a while, a last minute Lensrentals disaster that somehow turned into great customer service, and the feeling of stepping back behind the camera after being away from it. That turns into a bigger conversation about photography, creative confidence, making mistakes, and realizing that even photographers like Peter McKinnon still get nervous when it actually matters.
From there, we get into an upcoming photography trip to Kentucky, why the Atlanta airport is hell on earth, rediscovering how useful libraries actually are, getting back into reading with an e-reader and Libby, Dan Brown, modding a Nintendo 3DS, Pokémon, post-surgery life, and way more information about bowel movements than anybody asked for.
Basically, a normal episode of Dial Tone.

Episode 41: Oktober Fest Pt. 2
Episode 41 is Oktoberfest Part Two, and somehow a hardware store redemption arc turns into a full conversation about local art, small businesses, photography, creative ideas, and the comeback of downtown Jacksonville, NC.
We break down our haul from Downtown Oktoberfest, shout out some of the local artists and vendors we met, talk about why supporting local actually matters, and pitch everything from a Jacksonville coffee shop hop to a pop-up photo booth. Then we get into the very real problem of having too many creative ideas and not enough execution, before completely losing the plot over photography terminology, “cacophony,” and Taco’s ongoing battle with the English language.
Forty-one episodes in and somehow we’re still here. Shop local, support artists, and enjoy the chaos.

Episode 40: Oktober Fest
Episode 40 of the Dial Tone Podcast is here, and somehow a simple trip to the hardware store turns into a full blown battle over a window screen.
Ant breaks down his latest post hospital recovery, the struggle to sleep normally again, and an absolutely ridiculous customer service experience that may or may not continue into the next episode. From there, we get into chess, trying to actually get good at something after hundreds of days of playing, Magic: The Gathering, modding old gaming systems, cutting back on social media, e-readers, owning your digital books, and why getting a library card might actually be the move.
We’re also heading to Oktoberfest in Jacksonville, North Carolina right after recording, which means Episode 41 could be a completely different situation.
Another normal episode of Dial Tone. Somehow.
