Ep 18 - Back From Lahinch, the Presidents Cup and Srixon's ZXi5+

Our first remote episode, with MK dialling in from Sydney. He's back from Ireland: the Old Head, Waterville in the rain, and Lahinch the week after the Walker Cup, which he rates the best by a mile. Then the Presidents Cup at Medinah and the US pairings question, Patrick Reed's redemption, the new Mizuno Pro S-4 and Srixon ZXi5+, MK's case for the Arccos Air, and Dialled In or Out of Bounds on amateur team golf. Ep 17 - High Toe or Full Face, and the Divot That Cost Two Shots

No guest this week. MK asks what the difference actually is between a high toe wedge and a full face wedge, and Wardy takes it apart: high toe is about where the mass sits and what that does to flight on a square face, full face is about having grooves there when you lay it open. Two different problems. Also: Wyndham Clark's BMW Championship win, and the shaft detail in his bag that runs opposite to what you'd expect. The Shaun Norris divot penalty on the DP World Tour, and why we can't reconcile it with players grounding the club four times. The new L.A.B. VZN.1i in the studio. Whether Miura is overrated or underrated. And MK's 36 hole Friday. 00:10 No guest this week01:40 MK's 36 hole Friday07:43 What's coming through the studio08:07 The new L.A.B. Ep 16 - Alex Dudley-Bateman (Titleist Tour Fitter)

Our first ever guest: Alex Dudley-Bateman, Titleist's tour fitter here in Australia. How a tour fitting actually runs, why the whole bag has to move together, the GTS 300 miniand who it's genuinely for, and where fitting is heading as AI creeps into the process. Alextakes us through his road into the tour department, the fitting that still stands out fromhis first week on the job, and the conversation he reckons every golfer should have beforebooking a fitting. Also in this one: Alex's what's in the bag, news and notes, MK's first ever hole-in-onea hybrid from 177 yards into the wind — and Dialled In or Out of Bounds to finish. Ep 15 - Wardy's GTS Woods Debut, Brennan's Winning Bag & The Putting Number Nobody Measures

The GTS woods have been sitting in the bag with the plastic still on them for a couple of weeks. This week they finally saw a golf course - and the first thing Wardy noticed wasn't a number on a screen, it was the sound off the face. Then Michael Brennan wins the Wyndham for his second PGA TOUR title in three weeks, on a split set, with a GT driver paired to a GTS fairway and the biggest Circle T stamp either of us has seen on a Scotty. And the argument that runs underneath the whole episode: face angle is the most important metric in putting, and it's the one almost nobody ever has measured. In this episode: - The GTS woods finally get out of the plastic - GTS4 driver, and why the strike sounded different before anything showed up in the data - Swapping a lob wedge for lower bounce, and why wet days decide it - Get clubs in the bag you can actually hit - Face angle - the number that explains why you pull putts - Brennan's winning bag, split set and all - A GT driver with a GTS fairway, and why that pairing keeps showing up - The biggest Circle T we've seen - Where indoor fitting is heading - Dialled In or Out of Bounds 🎧 New episodes weekly — follow so you never miss one. ernestperformance.com.au | @dialledinpod

Ep 14 - Thorbjornsen's First Win, Blended Bags & The Club Nobody Gets Fitted For

MK has been having coaching for over a year - short game, irons, woods - and never once looked at putting. So he's booked a putting lesson. Which opens up the bigger question: the putter is also the club almost nobody gets fitted for. Work from the green backwards. We also get into what a toe strike really costs you, why buying off the shelf is how you end up fighting your own clubs, and how blended iron sets went from niche to normal. Plus Thorbjornsen's first PGA TOUR win at the last ever Rocket Classic, and Shiho Kuwaki's playoff major at Royal Lytham. In this episode: - The most neglected club in the bag - A year of coaching that never touched putting - Fitting and coaching are not the same thing - Why stroke play breaks a stableford mindset - Thorbjornsen's first win, and the end of the Rocket Classic - Kuwaki's playoff major at Royal Lytham - Dropping the 3-iron - what's actually in the bag - Muscle back or cavity: the Miura TC-202 - What a toe strike costs you - "it's like flicking a tap" - $60, $600 or $6,000 - make it worth the investment - Why blended bags have taken over 🎧 New episodes weekly — follow so you never miss one. ernestperformance.com.au | @dialledinpod

Ep 13 - Jackson Koivun, Grip Size and 14-Club Deals

Someone asked MK during the week whether grip size actually matters. It's the cheapest change in the bag and probably the one you've never thought about - and it quietly took over half this episode. We also go through the winner's Titleist setup, why the tour vans will change a player's wedges every single week, and a full-bag Srixon win that turns into an argument about marketing spend. In this episode: - Grip size, glove size and the two-finger test - How a heavier grip kills the head feel in your irons - The Fujikura Speeder you barely see on tour any more - Why tour vans change wedges weekly - Two 14-club deals in one week - Would the average golfer know who Srixon is? - Why brands want the whole bag now, not just the driver 🎧 New episodes weekly — follow so you never miss one. ernestperformance.com.au | @dialledinpod

Ep 12 - Ryan Fox Wins The Open! His Winning Srixon WITB, THAT Scottie Drop + Birkdale Recap

Episode 12 of Dialled In — and what a week to be recording. Ryan Fox is the Open Champion, and the boys have plenty to say about it. Wardy and MK break down Fox's win at Royal Birkdale — the birdie at the last, the two 62s that lit up Friday, and why a champion like Foxy is exactly what golf needed. Then it's into the winning bag: Srixon ZXi RKT LS+ driver with the Ventus Black, the blended ZXi5/ZXi7 iron setup, Cleveland RTZ wedges and that counterbalanced Ping Anser 2D — and what the average golfer can actually take from a combo set like that. Plus: the Scottie Scheffler 17th-hole drop that has the boys split, purposeful practice swings and pre-shot routines you can steal for your own game, and a rules-integrity edition of Dialled In or Out of Bounds. Ep 11 - The Open: Driving Irons, Wedge Grinds & Tom Kim's Winning Setup

Ball's sitting down in the rough, 170 to the flag, and you pull six iron. That's the shot costing you more than anything else in your game — and it's the one thing tour players never do. The Open hits Royal Birkdale, so we go through what actually changes in the bag, break down Tom Kim's winning Scottish Open setup, and MK returns from New Zealand with his lowest round ever. In this episode: - Tom Kim's Scottish Open winning bag - Why his iron shafts are softer than his driver - Driving irons for links golf — lofts, lengths and shafts - Wedge grinds for firm, fast turf - Te Arai, Tara Iti and Titirangi — is NZ the trip now? - The rough mistake costing amateurs shots - Dialled In or Out of Bounds: black irons 🎧 New episodes weekly — follow so you never miss one. ernestperformance.com.au | @dialledinpod

EP 9 - Viktor Hovland, Swing Weight Myths & the Club Fitting Debate

Episode 9 of the Dialled In Podcast! Nick opens with big personal news — a new addition to the family — before MK breaks down his best ball-striking round in months: 39 points at Long Island National. We recap Viktor Hovland's dramatic Travelers Championship playoff win over Scottie Scheffler, dig into Viktor's exact bag specs (including that Ping G440 LST running at D5+ swing weight), and challenge the assumption that your clubs need to go lighter to heavier. We also break down the PGA Tour's new Championship and Challenger Series structure, preview Srixon's incoming Z-Xi RKT metalwood lineup, and have an honest conversation about custom club fitting versus buying off the rack — including the real long-term cost most golfers don't think about.

Ep 8 - Does Golf Need Villains? US Open + Gear

Episode 8 and the boys are fresh off a massive weekend of sport - so it's a full US Open wrap from Shinnecock Hills. Wyndham Clark won it, but we're split on the result, which leads into a cracking debate: does golf actually need villains? Then we get stuck into the gear — Clark's Frankensteined driver, shafts, combo irons and that Ping putter — before turning it into takeaways for your own game: why your driver might be too long, when to swap the 4-iron for a hybrid, and the 5 mph ball-speed gapping rule. We also chat Jackson Koivun and Malbon, the new Scotty Cameron Phantoms, and run it all through Dialled In or Out of Bounds.

The guys break down the real difference between centre-shafted and zero-torque putters (they're not the same thing), run through a full lineup including the LAB OZ.1, DF3, new LAB Blade (Link), Scotty Cameron OC Phantom and TaylorMade ZT Spider, and debate whether blades are officially dead. Also this week: personal golf recaps including a snapped club and a playing partner shooting 67, a Charles Schwab Championship debrief with Russell Henley's clutch playoff win, a shoutout to Adam Scott's 100th consecutive major, and the weekly Dialled In or Out of Bounds segment. Ep 3 - Titleist GTS Launch, Arccos Air and USPGA Preview

MK and Wardy are back in the newly renovated Ernest Performance workshop to break down the biggest gear story of the week — the launch of the Titleist GTS driver range. Before diving in, the boys recap a recent round at PK, share their honest thoughts on Arccos Air (spoiler: they're obsessed), and debate whether it's the most underrated piece of tech in golf right now. Then it's all about the GTS. With the media embargo lifted and fittings officially open, Wardy walks through what's changed with the GTS 2 and 3, why the GTS 300 Mini is one to watch, and what makes a truly great driver fitting versus a glorified demo session. They also tackle the face orientation debate that's already dividing opinion on the new range. Plus — McLaren Golf enters the chat. Is it a genuine equipment brand or a vanity project? And with PIF pulling out of LIV Golf, the boys give their verdict on what happens next. Wrapped up with the Dialled In or Out of Bounds segment featuring the GTS3, McLaren Golf, and a big call on LIV's future.

The hot topic is mini drivers: are they actually worth it for amateur golfers? They break down the stats, the use cases, and test a couple in the studio. The episode wraps up with Dialled In or OB, covering Jim Furyk as Ryder Cup captain, eye-watering Ryder Cup ticket prices, and whether Matt Fitzpatrick is a lock for the team

Dialled In – Episode 1: Golf Equipment Talk

Welcome to Dialled In, the podcast for golfers who care about what's in the bag. Hosted by Nick (club fitter at Ernest Performance) and Matt (16-handicapper and self-confessed golf tragic), each episode breaks down the equipment side of golf from two very different perspectives. In our debut episode, we recap the equipment trends from the Masters and the RBC Heritage — why high-lofted fairway woods ruled Augusta while driving irons cut through the Hilton Head wind. We get into how those tour trends (do and don't) translate to your Saturday round, the art of building the right bag for your game, and why knowing your distances is more valuable than chasing the latest release. Plus, our new segment Dialled or OB — this week we're calling time on Masters-inspired impulse buys, and Nick reveals why he's changed his mind on the mini driver. Short, sharp, and no-nonsense golf equipment talk. Stay tuned. Recorded at Ernest Performance, Melbourne.
