Did We Read the Same Book?

About Did We Read the Same Book?

I'm Sadie and each week I talk about the books I just read. I share real-time reactions and talk about the moments that stuck out to me, made zero sense, wrecked me, or made me question my choices. If you like Romantasy, Fantasy, Thriller, Crime, Dark Romances, and unhinged opinions, you're in the right place.

(We Used to Live Here) Okay… But Which Reality?

Send me a message! A strange family shows up at your door claiming they used to live in your house. Do you let them in? Apparently, the main character said, “Sure, why not?” Now people are disappearing, the house is acting suspicious, nobody knows what's going on (including me), and I have approximately 47 questions about Thomas and his weird family. So for real… did we read the same book?

Was It the Writing or My Attention Span? (Red Rising)

Send me a message! Everyone loves Red Rising by Pierce Brown. I… thought it was okay. Darrow becomes a Gold, infiltrates an elite school, and then we spend the rest of the book playing war games. I forgot names, skimmed some battles, questioned my own attention span, and somehow made it to the end. I was told the series gets better so I still have hope! Did we read the same book?

Caving Was the First Red Flag (Her Last Breath)

Send me a message! This week, we’re discussing Her Last Breath by Taylor Adams: a claustrophobic thriller full of terrible decisions, suspicious people, and enough twists to make us wish they had all just stayed home. I make a lot of guesses about what really happened and what the twists could be... I might even be right about some!
