Grab a shovel and join De-Graft and friends as they dig deep into their lives and put the world to rights - all whilst learning a thing or two about keeping the plants on the plot alive.
Real people. Real chat. Amateur gardening.
Recorded direct on De-Graft's allotment plot - where the soil is rich and the stories are richer!
And we are back with your regular episodes and this time... we have two guests on the plot(cast)!
BBC Newsround and Radio 1 Life Hacks presenter Shanequa Paris joins De-Graft on the podcast (along with the occasional appearance from her little baby in the background) to talk on how life has changed for her since becoming a mother and the things in her life she would let grow and let die.
A very honest and raw conversation about life in this week's ep!
Also... Digging Around is trialling out visualised podcasts. Please excuse us whilst we tinker with the visuals and as always, leave some feed back on the gram!

Jade Jordan — Growing Back From an Eating Disorder (+ Creating Paths on the Plot!!)
Trigger warning: this episode contains a personal story about living with an eating disorder.
We are back on the plot for another glorious day of work and chat and this episode De-Graft has got fitness coach, Jade Jordon, from Strong Girl Collective on the podcast.
As well as being a personal friend of his and having to endure all that comes with that friendship (!!!) Jade has had to push through some incredibly tough moments in life.
Before moving to the UK, Jade lived with an eating disorder. In this week's episode she shares the brutal reality of what that meant for her and how it shaped her life growing up.
We also hear how she ended up creating a business of her own that continues to inspire women to be physically strong and to push themselves in ways they may not have known were possible!

Well... for this bonus/mini episode we're OFF the plot and in... MY HOUSE!
One of the staple parts of this podcast is of course the music at the start, but how is it put together? Well, sit back, relax, and enjoy a masterclass (of some sort) on how to put together your own theme music!

@SarahRoseGrows — It All Started with a Hangover... (plus watering in the middle of a HEATWAVE)
First and foremost I want to apologise for not having an episode out last week as per the schedule. I was absolutely WIPED out by a cold which absolutely ruined me.
However, we are back and back with another ACTUAL gardener! Gardening content creator Sarah Rose Grows has built a following online on how to garden in rented spaces and has built a community of people who also do not have their own spaces to garden.
Away from gardening, Sarah made a big decision. She realised her career wasn't what she wanted to do so made a massive change and started life again.
But has it paid off?
(Also if you haven't noticed, this episode was recorded in the peak of the most recent heatwave).

Becca Annoh - On Grief, God and Walking Away (plus a Plot Tidy!)
DISCLAIMER: Half of this episode is on the theme of death and losing a parent. Please feel free to skip this one or jump to 23:00 where the conversation changes.
My next guest fore this week's episode is a very good friend of mine. One that I've nearly known for half of my life! For today's episode we bring one of our most intimate conversation's to you guys to eavesdrop.
Becca Annoh, like many other people in across the world, lost her dad when we were both at school together. But how does that actually impact a teenager and how does society around you hold you up?
We sit down and talk about death but also... she was a Student Pastor at one point in her life but due to an evolution in her beliefs, what does she believe in now?
Honestly, SO much to get into.

Pro gardener Lucy Chamberlain drops GEMS (Gardeners World Live MINISODE)
So... going for a slightly different episode this week.
For one, it's VISUALISED!!! Thought I'd try a whole filmed episode for my first ever minisode. Can't guarantee it's a format I'll stick too but would love to know your thoughts.
On this week's minisode I'm joined by the INCREDIBLE pro gardener Lucy Chamberlain at Gardeners World Live! The two of us have been working together on their Make a Metre Matter campaign and she is a fountain of gardening knowledge so I thought hey... why not have her on to talk ACTUAL gardening.
Lucy breaks down how she got into this as a real life career, her earliest gardening memory and puts you on a little bit of game if you're looking to grow something different.
Also I must address the elephant in the room... it is loud as HELL where I've recorded this as they was a busy stage right next to us at the event.
BACK TO NORMAL PROGRAMMING NEXT EP.

Sam Steele - The Musician Who Worships in Silence (and Clearing Sticky Weed)
What does it mean to have a faith in today's day and age?
This week's guest is a man called Sam Steele who is journalist by day and an independent musician by night! But as well as the above, he is also a Quaker.
On the SECOND EPISODE of Digging Around he swaps his lyric book for a mental gardening how-to guide and helps me deal with a slight sticky weed problem I have on the plot (did you know the actual plant is called a cleaver but some people call it sticky willy?).
Sam's EP is coming out soon so make sure you follow his socials for that announcement!.

Kia Pegg - On the Toll of Child Acting (and Weeding!)
Actor and TV presenter Kia Pegg is best known for her roles across the BBC in The Dumping Ground, Doctors and causing mayhem on Saturday mornings via Saturday Mash Up.
But on the VERY FIRST EPISODE of Digging Around she swaps her scripts for her soil and helps me out with weeding my herb patch whilst we dig around her child acting past, the psychological impact its had on her and… how on earth she’s ended up with a farm of her own!
