Pengene eller Budskapet? [Podcast]

Tuning in to the Kitchen Booth
This is a live set done from my kitchen. It was streamed live on TikTok. The first 15 minutes or so, there were a few technical issues, so even though you can hear music, it still says starting soon on the screen. After that, it is go time.
I am going back to how DJ’ing used to be done, even though I am on a controller. The controller is basically treated like an old ancient pair of CDJ’s, meaning beatmatching is done the old fashioned way, no sync-button at all.
I use Native Instruments Traktor Pro 3 as my DJ software. This together with the Traktor Kontroller S2mk3 gives me the ability to really fine tune the pitchfader, so long transitions can be done. I can use the shift button on the controller, to move the pitchfader, and with that feature I get more range out of that tiny pitchfader. Otherwise, some of the mixes and transitions would be impossible, unless the sync-button is your GO-TO solution.
This is all for fun and hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing.

Slow Tech - a podcast deep dive
From the original post, we learn about the concept of "Slow Tech" as a conscious and intentional alternative to the often overwhelming and hectic digital lifestyle prevalent today. It defines "Slow Tech" not as an outright rejection of technology, but rather as a mindful approach that prioritizes human well-being, sustainability, meaningful connections, reflection, and quality over quantity in our use of digital tools. The article contrasts "Slow Tech" with the dominant "Fast Tech" culture, which is characterized by constant innovation, addictive design, the fear of missing out (FOMO), superficial online connections, and an excessive focus on efficiency.
The article delves into the philosophy behind "Slow Tech," positioning it as a form of digital humanism that seeks to re-center technology around human needs and values. It also provides a historical perspective, looking back at a time before the current hyper-speed of technological advancement and suggesting that we can learn from those slower times. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of taking back control over technology, ensuring it serves our best interests, and finding a better balance between our digital and physical lives. Ultimately, "Slow Tech" is presented as an invitation to use technology in a more thoughtful and deliberate way, fostering a digital environment that promotes well-being and meaningful connections.
And now, you get it as an easy listening audio podcast.

Persecutions of Christians
This episode is touching upon a very serious topic, that I actually needed to do some serious thinking before deciding to publish. I have based it on freely accessible reports available on the internet. What serious topic are we talking about you ask, we are talking about persecution of Christians. A topic that for many seems like fiction simply based on the fact that we for the most part in the western world, we don’t really experience a lot of hardships because of our faith, which stands in stark contrast to the reality people experience in many places of the world.
While I was working on a sermon for this week’s Divine Worship, I stumbled across a few websites that quite frankly shocked me. We have all heard about how Christians are being persecuted, tortured or even worse. We hear about these things from time to time. For me this touched me differently this time. Part of that reason had probably something to do with the share volume of people affected.
You see, it all started with the idea that I wanted to include in my sermon something about how brave some of the people from the Bible where, when they openly stood firm in their believes, knowing they would be punished hard. Still, it didn’t affect them. I wanted to see this in contrast as to how we stand with our faith today in a secular society. We’re not risking persecution, but people may make fun of us being christians, and for that, many of us (including me) sadly have a tendency to shy away from standing firm with our faith, we compromise for the sake of not having to face judgement by others. This has been on my mind for some time, and writing this, is part of my process strengthening my faith, standing firm with Jesus be my side.
This podcast is based upon reports from the World Watch list, Open Door and ADRA. I ask that you pray for those in need.
Thank you for reading / listening, and have a blessed day.
