Dinner is a good time to wind down from the day and discuss what occurred. We often get wrapped
up in life and forget to just sit down and talk the people around us. And that's what we're doing
on this show. Discussing a variety of topics with different guests every week featuring different
environments based on the activities of the people we've invited on. So wash your hands, it's dinner time.

Flowers in tomato sauce ft. Nikki
In this episode we had my wonderful friend Nikki (insta @chaos.reigns.here) bringing us a dish from her childhood called fideo which was a cheap and deliciously filling meal! If you want to be on the podcast you can contact me @mezrec on twitter, @theycallmemez on instagram, or email the show directly at dinneratmezrec@gmail.com with a recipe, schedule availability, and a timezone!
-----RECIPE------
x1 Package of "la moderna" brand noodles
x1 8oz can of tomato sauce
x1 packet of Sazon goya (chicken flavored)
2 tablespoons of Knorr brand "caldo de pollo" chicken flavor boullion
1/2 yellow onion
3 gloves of garlic
Optional: Hotdogs/any protein and corn
1) pour noodles into a dry, medium sized pot at low - medium heat. You want to slowly toast your noodles until they have a light brown color to them. (mezrec note: there is no liquid, its scary, pay attention to it)
2) add garlic and onion at the end of toasting noodles. cook lightly until fragrant
3) add can of tomato sauce and 3 cans of water (using same tomato can) add packet of sazón and chicken bullion. Season to taste
4) add sliced hot dogs and half can of corn and stir in
5) set heat to high until it comes to a boil. Once it boils, reduce heat to low and stir occasionally (the bottom likes to stick) wait about 15-20 minutes. Once noodles are cooked through it's good to eat!!
pairs pefect with modelos and sour cream!
