Doctor Who: Prepare the Timelash!!

About Doctor Who: Prepare the Timelash!!

An in-depth look at different eras of Doctor Who. Each month, your hosts Ken Hart and Mike Ferguson celebrate the wonderful moments of the show, criticize the things that went wrong, and lament "what could've been". In Season 1, they covered the Sixth Doctor, Season 2 looked at Leela's adventures with the Fourth Doctor, and Season 3 examined stories featuring the Guardians of Time. Now, in Season 4, it's a journey in modern Doctor Who with a look at River Song's adventures with the Doctor!

Episode 51 - The Angels Take Manhattan

In the city that never sleeps - and where, inexplicably, the Statue of Liberty is secretly a Weeping Angel - Ken & Mike bid a fond farewell to Amy Pond and Rory Williams as they cover "The Angels Take Manhattan". Plot logistics aside, there's a fair number of interesting things to discuss in this one, especially the impact that Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill left on the show, and how they very much defined the Matt Smith era of the show as, well, Matt Smith. There's also this character called River Song that our hosts like to discuss as well.

Episode 50 - The Wedding of River Song

Our 50th episode! And to celebrate, Ken & Mike are talking about ... The Wedding of River Song? (Could be worse. Could be Sleep No More.) The story's kind of a mess, but our hosts do their best to sift through it all and find what works (Amy! The Doctor and River's relationship!) and what, um, doesn't (Time happening all at once? WHAT?). There's plenty to discuss in this one, so have a listen!

Bonus Episode 7 - The Sea Devils

HAI!!! Have you brushed up on your Venusian aikido? Or your fencing? Hope you have, because in this bonus episode of Prepare the Timelash!!, co-hosts Mike and Ken make their first visit to the Third Doctor era with a discussion of "The Sea Devils"! There's much to discuss, and besides the story itself, they also talk about the Third Doctor's era as a whole, and why it's one of the most unique in the show's history.
