On this episode Matt and fellow trick or treating enthusiast Eric Shonborn spend Halloween on the moon talking about 1996's LOBO/DEMON: HELLOWEEN.
With spooooooooky season hitting the halfway point it was about dang time that Matt enjoyed a comic being covered on the show. And boy oh boy, Matt indeed LOVES this comic. It's about The Demon tricking Lobo to do a job for him on the moon and eventually they both have to fight a world devouring dragon because it wants to eat them instead of Earth. It's a blast!
So naturally Eric doesn't like it. Fun is not his favorite. But he does come around to enjoying the comic a little more after being hounded relentlessly by Matt. Matt is the fun police. The good kind.
Plus, Eric warns of the peril posed by bringing Lobo to an open bar. He also wonders why people expect stories to justify their own existence?

Night of the Living Dead: Zombie Genesis #1 with Frank Pittarese
On this episode Matt and special guest co-host Frank Pittarese quickly come to the realization that they would rather face down an army of the undead than talk about 1994's NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: ZOMBIE GENESIS #1.
Technically this is a comic "based on" Matt's second favorite movie of all time, 1968's NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. But honestly, associating this comic with the movie at all is a gigantic insult to the movie. If anything, this comic is more of a BAYWATCH "parody", which is not something one would expect when picking up a comic called NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.
Look, it's a really terrible, no good, horrendous, painful, downright awful comic - so Matt and Frank do their best to avoid talking about it, like the way you avoid making direct eye contact with a crazy person.
Instead, Matt talks at length (big surprise there) about how and why NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD became such a significant part of his life, while Frank puts his years of editorial experience to use and explains to the listening audience what it takes to put together a successful comic based on a licensed property (spoiler alert: Frank wants all of you aspiring creators to nothing that the creators of this "comic" did).
Oh, and this comic isn't called NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: ZOMBIE GENESIS, it's just NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD - but Matt finds that offensive on levels heretofore unknown, so he's added ZOMBIE GENESIS to the title. It doesn't make the comic better, but it does further separate it from the movie, and today that counts as a win.

A Conversation with JD McGibney from Angels on the Battlefield
On this extra special episode Matt has the honor of sitting down with JD McGibney (guitarist/composer from ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD) for an incredible conversation that was supposed to be all about nerdy interests and how awesome JD's hair is, but instead evolves into a sometimes funny, often times moving discussion about mental health struggles and the work it takes to find peace within yourself.
Regular listeners to Does This Come in Chromium will love getting to know JD. From the first moments of the episode, he reveals himself to truly be one of the nicest and most thoughtful people in the world (who also just so happens to be an extraordinarily talented guitar player and composer). With his band, ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD, JD has not only found a vehicle to express the ups and downs of his own battles with anxiety and depression, but he's also striving to help others by empowering them to look within and find their strength to face the battles in their lives with courage.
Also, JD's a nerd. After all, he discovered his love of music through the Adam Sandler "classic" LITTLE NICKY.
