Doing Our Best is exactly what it sounds like. Nora Mae and Roger Weeks are two artists — singer-songwriters trying to make sense of art, life, and everything in between — and this is what it sounds like when they stop working and just talk. Pull up a seat on the couch: TV, film, pop culture, spirituality, whatever's on their minds that week. No format, no plan, just two friends doing their best.
On this episode, we're doing our best, as usual, at holding a lot at once, not freaking out, and building the new sonic world and the next chapter. It's a special morning episode where we realize we're weird in the mornings. We talk about communicating through chicken wings and other food, virality and hate comments, cyberbullying, our Freaky Friday situation, and much more. 00:00 Good morning! 05:34 Weekend Recap 10:47 Chicken Wing Kick 12:30 Communicating via food 15:04 Virality & Hate...

Betwixt a Legacy
On our 10th episode, we're doing our best, as usual, at detaching from the idea of how we thought things would look, loosening our grip on control, and multitasking. We're joined by our first guest, Nora's mom, Kitt Shapiro, for a conversation full of childhood memories, growing up as the daughter of Eartha Kitt, and what it means to rediscover and evolve yourself at any age. We apologize for the audio issues! We're doing our best to improve those, too.
