About Dominican Sisters Open Mic
Join host Sr. Miriam, O.P. as she sits down with her Sisters to discuss all things Dominican. One thing is obvious when you spend time with the Sisters of Mary – if you put a couple of Dominicans in a room together, you don’t need to worry about finding something to talk about. In the words of St. Thomas Aquinas (whose feast day is today), we enjoy “sharing the fruits of our contemplation with others.” It’s time to share those fruits with the podcast world. Each Wednesday, you’ll get to listen in on conversations between the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, with occasional guests from outside the community. We’ll be talking “all things Dominican,” and if you know anything about Dominicans, you know just how wide that leaves the door open. […] Were you wanting a career in science? So when I told you my vocational grace, that grace happened in high school. So I had this, again, the word I'll use is indelible. I had this sense in my heart that was pretty unshakable that he was calling me to consecrated life. But I didn't at that time... think about entering after high school. I mean, it's possible. But I just was thinking, okay, I'm just going to go to college and do my thing. But I was also kind of incognito. People didn't know. I didn't tell anybody except one of my sisters.
