The Pattern Files is a companion investigation to the Don't Think Me Evil trilogy by Elwood West — a three-book saga of corporate conspiracy, ancient ritual, and the thin line between power and evil. Each episode takes you inside the research: location scouting the real buildings, tunnels, and landmarks that became settings in the novels. Underground Las Vegas. The pyramid they said was just a hotel. Small-town Texas corridors where recruiters operate in plain sight. We trace ley lines across continents, dig into classified construction records, uncover the histories that got buried, and follow the money to places it was never supposed to go. Conspiracies, cults, corporate cover-ups, supernatural legends, and the uncomfortable truths hiding behind billion-dollar facades. The books are coming. The evidence comes first. Something is wrong. I started writing it down.
A listener packs a bag and drives to Las Vegas to chase the tunnels, the pyramid, and a beautiful stranger Asa only ever talks about — and Asa realizes, too late, that his voice carries farther than he knew. Defiant after a warning from the university, he digs deeper into a hill in Turkey someone buried on purpose, a name he can almost place, and a phone call telling him to drop it. Then his producer finds something on the published recordings that isn't supposed to be possible — proof the show has been listening to itself, and that someone else has been listening too. The night Asa learns the microphone goes both directions. Recorded summer 2019.

The Pattern Files - Episode 7: The Things We Bury in Plain Sight
Asa Thibodeaux asked listeners not to go hunting for the two people he couldn't name. They went hunting. What comes back is a flood of guesses — funny, absurd, and, once, too specific to laugh at. Between the noise, Asa chases a word he can't shake — Manasseh, "to make forget" — to a priest, a cold cup of coffee, and an experience he can only file under "I don't know." It ends on a hilltop in Turkey that its own builders buried eleven thousand years ago. A session about what we bury, and what we agree to forget.

The Pattern Files - ISSUE NO. 07: Gina Scott Williams and The Manassean Index
Asa Thibodeaux has bumper music, a voicemail line, and a former student who built him a real studio. He's discovered social media, a Gen X content creator named Gina Scott Williams, and Art Bell's midnight archive. Meanwhile, a travel industry colleague has returned with four profiles tied to the Las Vegas convergence — two names with deep Delaware connections, two dead ends that might matter more than the names. A word appears twice in the filings: Manassean. And Odell calls in live for the first time.

The Pattern Files - Episode 5: The Forgotten Firewall
After the last episode nearly broke his trust in his own perception, Asa Thibodeaux does what professors do when the personal gets overwhelming: he goes macro. He pulls demographic data against his suppression patterns and discovers a generational fault line. The cohort most resistant to the architecture he's been mapping is the one nobody talks about — Generation X. The middle children. The forgotten ones. His generation. This isn't nostalgia. It's structural. A generation trained by absence to fix the antenna themselves, raised on institutional failure, and equipped with an analog baseline the digital architecture can't overwrite. The machine was built to hack consensus. It can't hack a generation that never sought consensus in the first place.

The Pattern Files - ISSUE NO. 05: Open Architecture
A tech podcast called The Signal Path published a forty-minute interview with Jeff Tanner, the public-facing head of Prism. A billion users. He described the recommendation engine, the two tiers of speech, the private share metric, the break penalty. He was articulate. He was transparent. The host thanked him repeatedly. I heard the interview while making a cocktail in my kitchen. My brain started mapping his words against the suppression data before I'd finished cutting the lime. Four statements. Each one defensible on its own. Taken together, they describe something else. This is not the data episode. This is the one where the instrument starts questioning itself. The investigation is changing the investigator, and the cardinal sin of pattern recognition — seeing a shape in the noise and calling it signal — is getting easier to commit every day. The companion article on dontthinkmeevil.com lays out the case file. This is the confession.

The Pattern Files - ISSUE NO. 04: The Edinburgh Protocols
A tunnel discovered beneath Edinburgh Castle in 2018 was documented by an archaeological team for eleven weeks. The university issued a press release calling it a "significant discovery." Nine days later, the press release was pulled. The team was reassigned. The access point was sealed with concrete. The lead researcher's faculty page returns a 404 error.
This is not the first time. Tunnels beneath Edinburgh have been discovered and sealed at least five times in the historical record — from James VI in the 1500s to the South Bridge vaults in 1985 to the 2018 gatehouse passage. Someone keeps closing the doors.
The Delaware holding company Asa identified in Issue No. 01 connects to an 1891 Edinburgh preservation society through 116 years of documented institutional continuity. The suppression isn't new. The platforms are.

The Pattern Files - ISSUE NO. 02: The Blueprint Discrepancy
A recording I found. Two researchers conduct a deep dive into the subterranean world beneath the Las Vegas Strip — the flood control tunnels, the construction history of the Luxor pyramid, and the conspiracy theories that have grown in the dark beneath the most surveilled street on Earth. I'm filing this for the record. Not because I endorse the conclusions — but because the Luxor keeps appearing in construction records tied to a Delaware holding company with no public officers. That's a discrepancy.

The Pattern Files - ISSUE NO. 00: Something Is Converging
The first recording. Before The Pattern Files had a name. I pressed record because my department wouldn't listen and I needed to hear myself say it out loud. Forty-eight instances of coordinated content suppression. Polarization data too symmetric to be organic. Travel patterns converging on one city. This is Issue No. 00. Everything published since grows from what's documented here.

The Invitation
You've been noticed. Not by accident. Not by algorithm. You were noticed because of what you see and what you choose not to look away from. This recording predates the investigation. It predates The Pattern Files. It predates everything. A voice introduces a world that has been hiding in plain sight — a society with no headquarters, no website, no verified account, operating for longer than most nations have existed. Three books. Three confessions. Three voices. The first confession arrives January 2027. You've been invited.
