[…] It's one of the few areas where I feel the original is better than Civ 2. Now for the tricky part. Why I didn't love this game. I think it's the combination of a lot of small grievances combined with a lack of nostalgia. My own playstyle and my love of the history with Civ 2 that led to lack of joy playing this game. Firstly I found the interface really clunky. I often miss click and close windows accidentally or open tile information instead of moving the unit. I do play on a laptop keyboard with no numpad and use my mouse as much as possible. But overall this clunkiness hampered my gameplay. […]
