About Double Identity: A Shoddy Look into Film Noir
The Shodcast presents Double Identity: A Shoddy Look into Film Noir.
Double Identity is a film noir podcast hosted by identical twin brothers — one a high school film teacher, the other a former private investigator. Together, they dive into the shadowy world of noir cinema through the lens of style, mystery, and twin banter. With a mix of shoddy film analysis, personal stories, and a something that resembles humor, each episode unpacks a noir film selected for its moody visuals, dark themes, and unforgettable characters. Whether you're a noir novice or a seasoned cinephile, Double Identity is your second rate guide through film’s most enigmatic genre.
In Episode 2 we take a shoddy look at "Out of the Past" and learn you can never escape your past, or maybe just don’t hang a big sign with your name on it over your garage.
Next up is "Key Largo"

After some good debate and a few deep cuts, we decide on five films to cover: Laura, The Big Sleep, The Big Heat, Niagara, and the Bob Hope parody My Favorite Brunette.
