[…] And once I understood that and how that made things more difficult for me, and I came to terms with my truth, then it was easier to incorporate that in my writing. From your perspective, what do you see as some of the biggest barriers that BIPOC creative, invisibly disabled folks face in the arts sector, specifically when it comes to kind of bringing some of this work into public space? It's a couple of things, but the major thing which has affected us directly and then people we've collaborated with too, is the loss of a lot of virtual spaces and hybrid spaces or events. We've been talking about, especially within the last year, how so many organizations that provide grant funding or lead in disability justice spaces are white-led or even have people who aren't disabled leading and It's very upsetting to see an experience.
