Janro Oelofse: God Seeks Your HeartWhy does Jesus talk about money so often? Opening the Contributions That Count series, Janro takes us back to the very beginning, to a God who gave us everything and a serpent who whispered that He was holding something back. Our distrust of God, he explains, changed the world inside us long before it changed the world around us, which is why money is never just about money. It’s about what we trust, what we treasure, and what we believe will give us life. Turning to 2 Corinthians 8, Janro shows how the Macedonians, in the midst of severe trial and extreme poverty, gave out of overflowing joy. Paul urges us to excel in the grace of giving just as we do in faith, knowledge and love, because giving doesn’t only reveal the heart, it shapes it. We don’t give to earn God’s favor. We give because Jesus, though He was rich, became poor for us. Janro closes by asking where we’ve started playing it safe instead of trusting God, and invites us to bring every part of our lives, including our finances, under Jesus’ loving rule.Watch this sermon for a grace-filled, practical look at generosity, and why God cares more about the posture of your heart than the size of your gift.Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/doxadeo_bloemnorth/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DoxaDeoBloemfonteinNorthWebsite: https://www.doxadeo.org/bloemnorth/Linktree: https://linktr.ee/DoxaDeo.BloemNorth

God Soek Jou Hart - Janro Oelofse
Janro Oelofse: God Soek Jou HartWaarom praat Jesus so dikwels oor geld? Dit is waarom dit by geld nooit net oor geld gaan nie. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/doxadeo_bloemnorth/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DoxaDeoBloemfonteinNorthWebsite: https://www.doxadeo.org/bloemnorth/Linktree: https://linktr.ee/DoxaDeo.BloemNorth

How Do We Grow In The Grace Of Giving? - Abel Jordaan
Abel Jordaan: How Do We Grow in the Grace of Giving?Has any organization in history done more good with money than the church? Opening the Contributions That Count series, Abel makes that bold claim before turning to Paul’s surprisingly practical teaching on finances in 1 Corinthians 16 and 2 Corinthians 8. Paul, it turns out, was never shy about money, he gave the Corinthians the same clear instructions he gave the Galatians and the Macedonians: give personally (a decision only you can make, but one you can’t avoid making), plan it and make it regular (because generosity, like a budget, rarely survives on leftovers), and give proportionally to what you actually have. Abel then tackles tithing head-on, arguing it wasn’t invented by the Law of Moses but merely captured there, a principle of life going back to Abraham and even Cain and Abel, which Jesus didn’t abolish but fulfilled and deepened, the same way he deepened “do not murder” into “do not even harbor anger.” The heart of it all, Abel insists, isn’t really about your wallet. It’s about whose image is stamped on your life, and giving yourself to God first, then to the mission he’s placed you in.Watch this sermon for a clear, practical, grace-filled approach to generosity, and why where and how you give matters less than the posture of your heart.Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/doxadeo_bloemnorth/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DoxaDeoBloemfonteinNorthWebsite: https://www.doxadeo.org/bloemnorth/Linktree: https://linktr.ee/DoxaDeo.BloemNorth
