These are no longer theoretical questions. In this conversation, I'm joined by David Shapiro and Dalibor Petrovic. David Shapiro is one of the leading thinkers on artificial intelligence and what he calls post-labor economics. For years, he has been analyzing the long-term decoupling of productivity, wages, and employment — and why AI and robotics may bring this trend to a terminal point. Dalibor Petrovic brings more than three decades of global business experience, including over twenty years as a senior partner at Deloitte. He has worked closely with owners, boards, CIOs and CTOs and technology leaders across industries and regions, and focuses on what this transition really means for enterprises, governance, and leadership responsibility. Together, we explore the evidence that this shift is structural, not cyclical. We discuss realistic time horizons for advanced and emerging economies. And we go deep into the hardest dilemmas for CEOs and political leaders: automation versus employment, productivity versus demand, and efficiency versus social stability.
