Biography Flash: Drake Hits 18 Number Ones Amid Lawsuit and Habibti Comeback

Drake Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Drake’s latest chapter is a mix of record setting success, fresh music, and a legal dispute that could become a footnote or a longer running complication. According to Billboard reporting cited by DancehallMag and AllHipHop, Drake’s album Habibti has surged from number 35 to number one on the Top R and B Hip Hop Albums chart, giving him 18 number one albums and sole possession of a record previously shared by the Temptations and Future. The rebound followed Habibti FOMO, a deluxe edition adding four tracks from his short film FOMO. Luminate data reported by Billboard shows Habibti earned about 71,000 equivalent album units in the latest tracking week, a 506 percent jump, with almost all of that total coming from streaming. The album also climbed from number 116 to number two on the Billboard 200. DancehallMag reports that Drake has passed 17 billion Spotify streams during 2026 across all credits, though that figure comes through music industry tracking accounts rather than a direct Spotify announcement. The two most visible new releases are Solar Eclipse and Cold Shoulder, both featuring Don Toliver, with Yebba also appearing on Cold Shoulder. Yahoo Entertainment reports that Drake uploaded official videos for both songs after they appeared in FOMO and were added to the expanded Habibti. Their lasting importance may be less about the videos themselves than Drake’s growing strategy of connecting albums, short films, and streaming releases into one larger narrative. On the business and career front, Drake announced a 2027 world tour during the FOMO premiere. Reports that he will headline Coachella remain unconfirmed. Likewise, the claim that he declined to submit Iceman, Maid of Honour, and Habibti for 2027 Grammy consideration has been widely reported, but should be treated as reported rather than formally confirmed by the Recording Academy. The biggest immediate controversy is a lawsuit over the chorus of Janice STFU. TMZ reports that producer Aviel Calev Hirschfield, known as Avi, alleges the chorus was taken from his demo. Drake’s team denies the accusation and calls the case a money grab. Those claims remain allegations, not findings. For now, the defining biographical takeaway is clear. Drake is extending his commercial dominance while turning deluxe releases, film, and streaming into a single ecosystem, even as old rivalries and new legal challenges continue to surround his legacy. **Biography Flash: Drake Drops HABIBTI FOMO and Teases a 2027 World Tour**

Drake Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Drake’s biggest verified development is the October 2 release of HABIBTI FOMO, an expanded edition of his 2026 album HABIBTI. Rolling Stone Canada reports that the deluxe version adds four songs previewed in Drake’s FOMO film: Quebec, Classic PT2, Solar Eclipse with Don Toliver, and Cold Shoulder with Don Toliver and Yebba. The release brings HABIBTI to fifteen tracks and turns weeks of fan speculation into an official streaming project. Forbes reports that FOMO began as an hourlong, self funded film that premiered online September 15, featuring unreleased music, Toronto landmarks, and appearances from Kevin Durant and Winnie Harlow. Drake used that premiere to announce a 2027 world tour, although the film was later made private. That combination of music, film, celebrity appearances, and a future touring plan could become a significant chapter in his biography because it shows Drake continuing to expand beyond the conventional album rollout. The new track Solar Eclipse is particularly notable. Paste Magazine describes it as Drake’s interpolation of Ella Langley’s hit Choosin Texas, with Don Toliver appearing on the recording. Reports that Drake gave up publishing rights connected to the song in favor of Langley and Miranda Lambert remain unconfirmed by a primary business statement, so they should be treated cautiously. There is also fresh speculation about Drake’s live future. Complex reports, citing HITS Daily Double, that he is being discussed as a possible Coachella 2027 headliner. Neither Drake nor Coachella has officially confirmed the booking. Drake has, however, told CTV’s etalk that a tour and some big shows are coming, making the possibility consistent with his own public comments. On the chart front, a music news roundup reports that Janice STFU has reached nineteen weeks at number one on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart, surpassing Hotline Bling as Drake’s longest running leader there. That milestone still requires confirmation from Billboard’s own current chart listing. No major verified personal controversy or confirmed new business venture emerged in the available reporting during the past twenty four hours. Social media activity has mainly centered on fan requests for the FOMO songs and reactions to their release. Thank you for listening. Biography Flash: Drake FOMO Rollout Degrassi Drop and 2027 Tour Plans Unpacked

Drake Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Drake’s most significant development this week is the expansion of his FOMO era, with new music, visual storytelling, and a confirmed promise of more touring ahead. According to Yahoo Entertainment, he surprised fans with the single Quebec on September 24, following a wave of videos tied to the FOMO short film. The project features appearances from his mother, Winnie Harlow, Kevin Durant, and streamer BenDaDonnn, reinforcing Drake’s long established habit of blending music, celebrity culture, family, and lifestyle branding. On Instagram, Drake continued the rollout on September 22 with behind the scenes photographs from FOMO. Complex reported that he captioned the post, quote, Weird hill to die on but at least you’re gone, a line fans interpreted as a cryptic message aimed at unnamed rivals. That interpretation remains speculation. The post itself is confirmed, but Drake did not identify a target. A potentially more durable piece of his biography arrived through OVO, the lifestyle company he co founded. ASI Central reported on September 25 that OVO and WildBrain released a made in Canada collection celebrating the twenty fifth anniversary of Degrassi The Next Generation. The limited edition range includes a recreation of Jimmy Brooks’ basketball jersey, a Panthers football jersey, varsity jackets, sweatsuits, shirts, and accessories. The move turns Drake’s former acting identity into a commercial asset, linking his current fashion empire to the television role that first made him widely recognizable. There is also renewed attention on Drake’s next career phase. Yahoo Entertainment reported that he said after the FOMO premiere that he plans to return to the road for a world tour in 2027. That is a reported statement, although dates and venues have not been announced. Some outlets have circulated claims that an upcoming project called FOMO could arrive on September 15, but those reports are inconsistent with the timeline and are not confirmed by Drake. No reliable source identified a major new public appearance by Drake in the past twenty four hours. The strongest verified stories remain his OVO Degrassi collection and the continuing FOMO music and film campaign. Thank you for listening.
