When You Love God but Can't Feel His Presence Remember John 15
Have you ever prayed, read your Bible, and tried to draw closer to God, only to wonder, Why don't I feel His presence? If you've ever felt spiritually distant, struggled with spiritual dryness, or questioned your faith because your emotions don't match what you believe, this episode of the Dream Creation Podcast is for you.
In this episode, Daina Migliore explores what it really means to feel close to God and why your relationship with Jesus was never meant to be measured by your emotions. When prayer feels quiet, worship doesn't move you, or God seems far away, it's easy to wonder whether you're doing something wrong. But feeling distant from God doesn't automatically mean He is distant from you.
Through the teachings of Jesus in John 15:4–5, we'll explore what it means to abide in Christ, remain rooted in His Word, and trust Him even when you don't feel a strong emotional connection. We'll also look at 2 Corinthians 5:7 and what it means to walk by faith, not by sight, along with the encouragement of Psalm 34:18 for anyone experiencing heartbreak, discouragement, or a difficult season of faith.
Drawing from her personal spiritual journey and her transition from New Age manifestation teachings to following Jesus Christ, Daina shares why genuine spiritual growth isn't about chasing spiritual experiences or trying to manufacture a feeling. It's about building your life on the truth of God's Word, trusting His character, and learning to remain in Jesus through every season.
In this episode, you'll discover:
Why you can love God and still experience seasons when you don't feel close to Him.
How to stop measuring your faith by your emotions.
What Jesus means when He calls us to abide in Him in John 15.
How to trust God when you don't feel His presence.
What the Bible teaches about walking by faith rather than relying on what we feel.
How God meets us in seasons of heartbreak and spiritual dryness.
Three practical ways to grow in your relationship with Jesus through Scripture, honest prayer, and loving others.
Whether you're a new Christian, returning to your faith, or simply longing for a deeper relationship with God, this conversation will encourage you to stop striving for a particular feeling and start focusing on what it means to walk faithfully with Jesus.
