Most People Discredit the Journey: Junna Liao on Selling From Who You Already Are
Junna Liao became a three-time Financial Planner of the Year at a Fortune 100 firm in just seven years, often working with the clients nobody else could reach. Her secret wasn't a script or a strategy. It was two words: being interested.
Junna and Shaun talk about why so many people who think they have a money problem actually have an identity problem, and why transformation lasts where transactions don't. She shares how a health crisis made her realise she had been saving her real life for "someday", why she walked away from corporate America to found MMDC Alchemy, and how her first big launch produced zero clients and a quarter-million-dollar loss. Then one shift changed everything: her promise was one miracle a day for the world, not one miracle a day for paid clients. Today she sees between four and ten clients a day.
For coaches who feel stuck, her advice is simple: you can only take a client as far as you've taken yourself. So stop discrediting your own journey, and help the people a few steps behind you.

It Just Wasn't the Right Avenue: Kerry Damiano on Reinventing Yourself Without Losing Yourself
Kerry Damiano once designed an entire fashion line and didn't sell a single piece. It hit her financially and it hit her personally, and for a while she wondered if she was a failure. What she worked out instead has shaped every chapter since: it didn't mean she was bad at it. It just wasn't the right avenue.
Kerry has started over more times than most of us would dare: Miss Idaho USA, decades as a pageant coach, fashion and jewellery designer, pianist, faith leader, and now Ms. World Traveler, with more than 130 countries behind her. She and Shaun talk about how she keeps beginning again without losing herself, and the question her father once asked her that changed how she measures success. She explains why she's goal-driven but refuses to let the goals drive her, why confidence comes after the first step out of your comfort zone rather than before it, and why she stopped trying to control what's around the next corner.
She's also candid about money. Kerry moved to a no-fee policy years ago as a step of faith, and she's just as clear that it isn't everybody's story.

All I Did Was Share Cool Stuff: Ely Delaney on Follow-Up That Builds Trust
Most heart-led coaches don't lose clients in the sales conversation. They lose them in the silence afterwards, because following up feels like pestering. Ely Delaney has spent nearly 30 years showing people another way. His view is simple: change what you say and how you say it, and you stop being the annoying pest and become the welcome guest.
Ely walks through exactly how that works. He shares the word-for-word "I'm such a slacker" email that re-opens a quiet list, and the story of a client whose calendar filled for a month from that one message. He explains why a book recommendation he wrote six years earlier arrived at the right moment to save someone's business, and why another contact came back to him ten years and three months after first hearing him speak. He and Shaun also talk about why most newsletters are all about the sender, how often to stay in touch without becoming noise, and why real human connection matters more now that AI has multiplied the volume of content and thinned its quality.
You'll also hear the seven virtues behind his book The Follow Up Code, drawn from Bushido, the code of the samurai, and the three words from his first mentor that he builds every system on: next logical step.
